We’ve been keeping an eye on this one and the journey from early intel to official reveal has moved fast, because it wasn’t too long ago that we first got word that Whiplash would be joining the 200x MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection as a Wave 5 deluxe figure, and then just about a week later Mattel pulled back the curtain with official images that gave us our first clean look at the figure. Now, flash forward to today and Whiplash has surfaced on eBay, which means we’re getting our best look yet at the actual figure along with the full packaging and box art. I love when these pop up early because there’s a big difference between a promotional render and seeing the real thing sitting in its box, and from what I can see here Whiplash is looking sharp. The 200x design for this character has always been one of the more visually striking takes from that era, with all that reptilian bulk and those exaggerated proportions that the Mike Young Productions show leaned into so well, and translating that into the Origins scale while keeping it feeling like a proper Cartoon Collection entry is no small task. The box art itself is worth noting too, as Mattel has been delivering solid presentation across this line and Whiplash appears to continue that trend. It’s wild how quickly the puzzle pieces came together on this one, going from that initial intel all the way to in-box images showing up in the wild in what feels like no time at all. Now the real question is how long before these start hitting retail shelves, because after seeing these images I’m even more fired up to get this one in hand.

In-Box Images

Whiplash fills nearly every inch of the box, and that tail is massive, curling up from behind and dominating the entire upper half of the illustration. The character’s bulk and the sheer size of the tail barely fit within the window, giving a real sense of how imposing this design is and how large the figure is.

Whiplash 200x MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection Box Fronta

The box art is packed with action from the “Underworld” episode, with Skeletor looming in the upper portion while Evil-Lyn stands behind Whiplash as he swings that massive tail at King Randor, a character we haven’t seen made into a figure yet, so that tease is worth paying attention to. Over on the opposite side, Beast Man squares off against Man-At-Arms in front of Castle Grayskull, rounding out a scene that pulls a lot of key characters into one illustration.

Whiplash 200x MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection Box Backc

The side panel artwork of Whiplash is amazing and that tail is massive, curling up from behind and dominating the entire upper half of the illustration. The character’s bulk and the sheer size of the tail barely fit within the frame of the art, showing us how imposing this design is through art.

Whiplash 200x MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection Box Sideb

The opposite side panel features a striking illustration of Whiplash from the chest up, mouth open in a fierce snarl with fangs fully bared and a fiery red and yellow backdrop burning behind him. His pointed crown ridges and heavy brow are rendered with aggressive line work, and the layered bone-like armor across his chest adds a lot of texture to the artwork.

This is exactly why mini comics matter. Since July 2024, we alluded to new figures coming to the line and we’ve been keeping an eye on the new characters headed to MOTU Origins, and now we’re getting our clearest look yet at what’s next, because the Technomancer, Hordak’s dark warrior born of pure evil, appears to be the next Mattel Creations drop, teased for Wednesday, May 27, 2026. What makes this one feel special is how it was born directly out of the storytelling packed into the Extendar mini comic, “The Terror of the Technomancer,” penned by the amazingly talented MOTU Mini Comic writer Joshua Sky, which does exactly what the best mini comics have always done in this hobby: it doesn’t just accompany a figure, it builds the world and sets the stage for what’s coming next. The comic takes us deep into Hordak’s scheme, showing us the moment Extendar’s chest is cracked open to reveal the Eternium Ore matrix, the source of all his power, and if you’ve read through that sequence you probably noticed, just like I did, that the matrix bears more than a passing resemblance to a certain Autobot leader’s power source, which is a fun little visual nod whether intentional or not. But the real heart of the story is Extendar’s defiance, breaking free from Hordak’s grip, literally grabbing Hordak by the face and kicking Leech back before escaping through the portal to rejoin He-Man. His words to He-Man about never again looking to others with jealousy but with admiration instead carry a weight that feels rare for a pack-in comic, and that emotional beat lands even harder when you realize Hordak let him go on purpose, because the end game was never about keeping Extendar but about harvesting his power to fuel something far worse. That something is the Technomancer, an Evil Horde creation that will reuse much of the Extendar buck, essentially giving us an evil mirror of the character, and the fact that this new warrior’s entire origin was seeded through the mini comic is a reminder of how these small printed stories can carry enormous narrative weight for the line. It’s a full circle moment that connects the lore, the figure engineering, and the collecting experience in a way that only MOTU Origins seems to consistently pull off, and I can’t wait to see how the Technomancer looks when official images drop ahead of that Mattel Creations release.

Technomancer Tease

The Club Grayskull logo dominates the frame, but behind it we can clearly see Extendar’s parts being reused here. Getting an evil version of Extendar through the Technomancer is a great addition to the Origins line.

Technomander MOTU Origins Mattel Creations Exclusive Tease 1

The close-up on the left shows a sculpted Horde bat symbol on the chest, a direct callback to the mini comic “The Terror of the Technomancer,” where Hordak’s evil creation bore that same insignia. The right side reveals ridged, segmented torso detailing with deep grooves running vertically through the red section, giving the sculpt a mechanical, constructed quality fitting for a being engineered by Hordak but also this is the Exendar buck.

Shortly after the tease, Yo Tengo El Poder posted what appears to be the actual figure! We can’t wait to see more of the artwork, which is illustrated by @aprostudio!

Extendar’s Mini Comic Teases an Evil Villian Version of Extendar

Further evidence of this comes from the Extendar Mini Comic, where, at the end, we see one of Hordak’s evil creations come to life, which will set the stage for an evil version of Extendar, which will reuse many of the parts from the Mattel Creations exclusive. As we see in the mini comic, cracking Extendar’s chest open to reveal the Eternium Ore matrix (which looks a lot like Optimus Prime’s from the Transformers), the source of Extendar’s powers, is revealed. Suddenly, Extendar breaks free and grabs Hordak’s face while kicking Leech back! Extendar goes back through the portal and find He-Man where he tells him that he has regrets for succumbing to Hordak’s offer many years ago. Extrendar says, “Never again will I look to others with jealously for their success, but admiration instead,” and strives to be the best version of himself. Hordak let him go and did not pursue him as Hordak’s end game is to give Extendar’s power to a new dark warrior born of pure evil.

Terror of the Technomancer Mini Comic

In the vintage mini comics, Extendar was a friend of Prince Adam and was an ordinary knight, but yearned for special powers of his own after witnessing the skills of the Horde warrior Dragstor. Hordak subsequently granted his wish and subjected him to scientific experiments, which transformed him into a mechanical cyborg warrior with the power of extension. Invincible at full height, he was set upon He-Man, but managed to throw off Hordak’s control and ultimately joined the Heroic Warriors, becoming one of the most powerful members of their ranks. This looks like it is a continuation of Extendar’s tale!

The-Terror-of-the-Technomancer-Extendar-MOTU-Origins-Mini-Coimic-Cover

Extendar, being the kind hearted soul he is, responded to a cry for help on the outskirts of King Randor’s castle. He heeds the call and follows the cry deep into the forest. As Extendar tries to come to the maiden’s aid, the maiden and swamp creature disappear to reveal some Horde Troopers, who drag Extendar to the Fright Zone! captured and in front of Hordak, Extendar is reminded who transformed him in the first place, as told in the vintage mini comic, The Warrior Machine!

Hordak has Extendar on the examination table once again and vows to fulfill his promise to transfer total power to another worthier dark knight. It is here, while Extendar is on the table, Modulok, with syringe in hand, looks on!

We’ve been keeping an eye on this one and now we finally have our first official look at what’s shaping up to be one of the most interesting Masters of the Universe Origins releases in a while. After we first shared word that a faction-themed MOTU Origins 4-pack was on the way for 2026 back in December 2025, collectors have been waiting to see exactly what Mattel had cooking, and the revealed packaging image does not disappoint. The set brings together four all-new characters, each one representing a different corner of Eternia’s sprawling mythology, and the faction-style subtitle callouts beneath each name really help sell the worldbuilding angle that makes this pack feel like more than just another bundle of figures. You’ve got the Avion Warrior, described as a “Flying Heroic Guard,” which immediately calls to mind Stratos and the sky-bound warriors of Avion, then there’s Primal Captain, labeled a “Powerful Beastly Warrior,” leaning into that beastly faction energy we’ve seen hinted at across various corners of MOTU lore. The Aquatican Mer-Warrior, tagged as a “Fearsome Ocean Soldier,” pulls from the underwater side of Eternia that rarely gets enough love in the toy aisle, and rounding things out is Sepult-Ro Disciple, identified as a “Dark Cult Acolyte,” which is about as deep cut and lore-heavy as it gets for an Origins release. What I love about this lineup is how it covers sky, sea, beast, and dark magic all in a single box, giving army-builder fans and lore-obsessed collectors alike a reason to be genuinely excited. Even from a partial packaging shot, the mix of factions represented here suggests Mattel is really leaning into the idea that Eternia is a living, breathing world full of warriors beyond just the main roster, and I can’t wait to see full in-hand images once these start surfacing.

Official Images

The full MOTU Origins 4-Pack is confirmed, and this first official look shows all four figures together: Avion Warrior, Primal Captain, Aquatican Mer-Warrior, and Sepult-Ro Disciple, both in-package and displayed with their accessories below. The box art features a painted battle scene set in a subterranean cavern, and the set leans heavily into army-builder and faction-based worldbuilding with sky, beast, sea, and dark magic archetypes all represented in a single release. Looks like Mattel mixed up the Primal Captain and the Sepult-Ro Disciple, which is the second time we’ve seen them do this in a short time.

MOTU-Origins-4-Pack-First-Look-2

Here we get a closer look at the incredible artwork on the packaging! You will notice multiple Primal Captain’s (Beast Men) illustrated in the background, so looks like he will be a cool army builder! You might just have to pick up a few packs of these!

MOTU Origins 4 Pack First Look

Aquatican Mer-Warrior is our first look at one of the four figures confirmed for the new MOTU Origins 4-Pack, and the aquatic creature design delivers with a full blue body sculpt featuring finned forearms, webbed feet, and a snarling fish-like head with orange eyes and exposed fangs. He comes with a trident and wears a yellow harness with tentacle-like detailing hanging from the belt, leaning hard into that “Fearsome Ocean Soldier” identity.

Aquatican Mer Warrior MOTU Origins 4 Pack

Aquatican Mer-Warrior looks like he swam right out of the Filmation cartoon with his bright blue skin, sharp fin crest on top of the head, and snarling fish-like face complete with exposed fangs. Yellow armor details run across the chest and waist, breaking up the blue body nicely while matching the oversized yellow trident packed beside him. I really like seeing Mattel lean into some of these more obscure Eternian races because this one absolutely captures that classic animated background character energy in Origins form.

Aquatican-Mer-Warrior-MOTU-Origins-4-Pack-2

Avion Warrior gives us our second confirmed figure from the MOTU Origins 4-Pack, and he’s rocking a gray bodysuit under a blue open-front tunic with white trim, a red belt, and red boots. Red armor plating covers both forearms and shoulders, a red helmet with a fin-like crest sits above blue goggles, and he comes with an ornate scepter as his accessory.

Avion Warrior MOTU Origins 4 Pack

Avion Warrior brings a deep cut into the MOTU Origins line with a look pulled straight from the classic Filmation style. The figure features bright red hair with a blue visor mask, a blue tunic trimmed in white, and dark gray limbs with red gloves and boots that really pop against the darker body colors. Packed beside him is a gold staff accessory, framing the figure in the tray immediately tie him back to the airborne Avion race. I like how clean and simple the overall design feels because it captures that vintage animated guard aesthetic almost perfectly.

Avion-Warrior-MOTU-Origins-4-Pack-2

Primal Captain rounds out the MOTU Origins 4-Pack as the “Dark Cult Acolyte, and this “Powerful Beastly Warrior” and this first confirmed look shows an orange-skinned Beast Man-like creature with a snarling open mouth, pale face, and purple eyes, wearing spiked armor on both shoulders connected by a chain harness and a fur loincloth belted at the waist. He comes with a club and a small dagger, and the sculpted fur texture running across the chest and limbs gives the whole figure a raw, beastly quality that fits the cult warrior role.

Sepult Ro Diciple MOTU Origins 4 Pack

Mattel appears to have mixed up the names here because the figure packed as “Sepult-Ro Disciple” is actually the Primal Captain. The figure features an orange body with textured fur sculpting across the chest and waist, dark shoulder armor with metallic rivet details, and a skull-like face with a wide open mouth that gives him a savage Filmation-style appearance. A dark strap runs diagonally across the torso and the figure is packed with a long brown staff accessory. I like how wild and almost barbaric this design feels compared to the cleaner heroic guards in the set.

Primal-Captain-MOTU-Origins-4-Pack-2

Sepult-Ro Disciple is the third confirmed figure from the MOTU Origins 4-Pack, sports a bone-white body wrapped in a tattered purple cloak and hood over a skull-faced head, with a scaly purple loincloth and dark blue shin guards featuring ornate sculpted detailing. His staff has a metallic mechanical headpiece with a swappable green flame effect piece, and the belt buckle carries a gold and purple crest that adds a nice bit of regality to an otherwise feral design.

Primal Captain MOTU Origins 4 Pack

Mattel mixed up the names again here because the figure labeled as “Primal Captain” is actually the Sepult-Ro Disciple. The figure has a pale bone-colored body with a skull face hidden beneath a dark purple hood and cape, giving him a much darker mystical look compared to the rest of the set. Purple armor details wrap around the waist, boots, and wrist cuffs, while the included staff features translucent green effects that add a supernatural energy to the accessory. I really like how closely this design mirrors the eerie Filmation-style cult follower aesthetic.

Hot off the press, and we’re already getting a visual on one of the 200x deluxe figures we only just learned about days ago. It was less than a week ago that we first uncovered the names for MOTU Origins 200x Deluxe Wave 5 and Wave 6, and now Whiplash is the first from that Wave 5 lineup to surface with what appears to be an official packaged image, giving us a solid look at how Mattel is translating his Mike Young Productions redesign into the Origins format. Massive thanks to @damienristori for coming through with this one. The box art and production image let us really take in the details here, and I love how they’ve leaned into that heavier, more armored 200x aesthetic that gave Whiplash so much more presence compared to his vintage look. He was always a solid character in the original line, but the 200x redesign really turned him into something far more imposing, and from what we can see on this packaging, it looks like they’ve captured that feel well within the Origins style. This is the first of the four figures slotted for Wave 5 alongside Buzz-Off, Keldor, and Webstor, who have already gone up for preorder. We’ll be keeping an eye out as his preorder should surface soon as Wave 5 is shaping up to be a strong batch for 200x collectors.

Official Images

Whiplash fills the entire window of the box, and that massive tail packed along the side really shows how much figure is crammed in there. The Cartoon Collection packaging features fiery artwork with Castle Grayskull’s facade looming behind him, and the 200x animated design translates really well to the Origins style with his blue segmented loincloth, gold belt with a spiral emblem, and blue wrist cuffs over that olive-green reptilian body.

Whiplash 200x MOTU Origins Wave 5 Deluxe Figure Box Front JHK13

The figure does a surprisingly strong job translating the Mike Young Productions Whiplash design into MOTU Origins form while still fitting within the proportions and engineering of the Origins line. The animated version has a much more monstrous silhouette with a forward hunch, and elongated arms, and a massive tail that dominates his profile. A lot of the defining 200x details carried over really well, including the layered rib-like chest plating, the horned head sculpt with the drooping tusks, the rocky spikes across the shoulders and back, and the bright blue wrist cuffs and layered skirt armor. The cartoon design looks more organic and reptilian, especially with the way the chest armor appears fused into his body and the aggressive claw shapes, while the figure simplifies those elements with cleaner sculpt lines and smaller hands to work within the Origins system. The tail is also huge that is packed beside, where it swings across the screen like a weapon on its own, but I think the figure still captures that grumpy, predatory Whiplash expression really well and retains much more of the 200x personality than I expected.

Whiplash Tease

If you recall, Whiplash was teased on Prince Adam’s card art as Prince Adam is caught mid stride as he drives forward with his sword arm raised, his vest flaring open and boots kicking up debris as he moves through the scene. Behind him, Whiplash bursts out of the shadows with his jaws open wide and arms outstretched, while tri-Klops steps in from the side firing a bright green energy blast from his eye as Trap Jaw lurks in the background. I love how the action feels stacked here, with Adam pushing ahead while the Evil Warriors close in at the same time, giving a clear tease that things are about to get very messy.

Prince-Adam-200x-MOTU-Origins-Cartoon-Collection-Card-Back-Art

Whiplash 200x

Whiplash was featured in the MYP animated series as we get a glimpse into this background. Unlike the 80’s Filmation cartoon where he played a more significant role, Whiplash relegated mostly to background appearances that had little dialogue, no personality, and they really leaned on giving him a more thug like role. With respect to his backstory:

“we see that he is from a race of underground-dwelling reptile creatures called the Caligars, who inhabit Subternia and are caught in permanent dispute with their Subternian neighbours, the bat-like Speleans. The Caligars are shown to be a generally peaceful race, who regard Whiplash as a traitor since he joined Skeletor’s forces.”

Whiplash Wiki Grayskull
Whiplash-Masters-of-the-Universe-200x-Animated-Series

A solid reference shot of Whiplash’s upper body from the 200x animated series, showing his green, scaled skin covered in bony ridges and rocky protrusions across his chest, shoulders, and arms. He wears a gold belt at his waist, and those horn-like spikes jutting from his head and shoulders give him a real prehistoric, reptilian look that should translate well into the Origins Deluxe treatment.

Whiplash 200x MOTU MYP Animated Series 1

Whiplash’s back is the real story here, with that massive tail extending from the base of his spine and rows of bony spikes running along the ridge. His teal loincloth drapes down between his legs, and the sheer bulk of his upper back and shoulders, covered in those rocky protrusions, gives a good preview of how much sculpted texture the Origins Deluxe figure will need to capture from behind.

Whiplash 200x MOTU MYP Animated Series 2

This three-quarter body shot gives a good sense of how Whiplash’s tail connects and curves outward from his lower body, with the serpent-like head at its tip, while the segmented teal loin armor hangs in layered plates over his legs. His chest features a distinct V-shaped plating in gray that sits over the green scaled torso, a design element that would make for a cool sculpted overlay piece on the Origins Deluxe figure.

Whiplash 200x MOTU MYP Animated Series 3

The tail is the standout feature here, stretching nearly the full length of his body and ending in that spiked, serpent-like head at the tip. Whiplash was massive in the 200x series, and this full body shot really drives home why he needs the deluxe treatment, as that tail alone is going to require some serious tooling.

Whiplash 200x MOTU MYP Animated Series 4

Whiplash towers over Evil-Lyn in this shot, with Clawful flanking her on the other side, and it’s a great reminder that both Whiplash and Clawful were massive in the 200x series. Clawful already got the deluxe treatment in Origins, so having both of these guys in hand to recreate this scene is going to be a lot of fun.

Fresh in from Mr. Home Arcade on YouTube, we’re getting a fantastic look at the Tri-Klops figure from the upcoming 2026 Masters of the Universe Origins movie line. If you haven’t already checked out his full video review, it’s well worth your time for the complete breakdown. From what these images show, Mattel has done some interesting work translating Tri-Klops into the movie aesthetic while keeping him grounded in the Origins format collectors know and love. The three-eyed visor is the centerpiece here, and the movie-inspired redesign gives it a more tactical, armored feel compared to the vintage look. The overall sculpt leans into the film’s grittier tone with layered armor detailing across the torso and limbs that adds real visual depth to the figure. His sniper rifle is included and looks to carry the design that fits the movie universe’s style language and his MOTU Chronicles counterpart. The color palette stays faithful to the classic green we associate with Tri-Klops, but with more of a military tone to it, which I appreciate as someone who wants these movie figures to still feel like they belong on a MOTU shelf. It’s encouraging to see how Mattel is handling these movie designs within the Origins scale and construction. Scroll through the images below and see for yourself how this one is shaping up ahead of the film’s release.

Packaging

The front card art features Tri Klops bursting through a fiery explosion with Skeletor’s skull looming behind him, while the back showcases stunning artwork by @fetch.franciscoetchart depicting him armed and battle-worn alongside a snarling dragon creature. Mr. Home Arcade gives a great look at both sides of the packaging, letting you appreciate how the illustration style shifts between the dramatic front composition and the more detailed, cinematic back panel.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 20

Mr. Home Arcade grabbed a close-up of the UPC on the bottom of the box, so you can pull it up on your phone and scan for Tri Klops at your local store. The barcode reads 194735 350827, which should make tracking this one down a lot easier if you’re hunting in person.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 1

The included instruction sheet maps out every removable part on Tri Klops, with arrows pointing to the helmet, shoulder armor, gauntlets, belt, and boots as swappable pieces. You can see the figure diagram is detailed enough to give you a clear sense of how modular the design really is.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 16

Figure Details

The front and rear views together show how the armor wraps around the full figure, with the shoulder plates and ribbed copper tubing connecting seamlessly from chest to back, and the studded skirt panels providing consistent coverage on both sides. From behind, you can see the spine of the chest armor running vertically between the shoulder blades and the way the camouflage patterning on the pants continues uninterrupted around the legs.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 21

The side profile gives you a clean look at the tech detailing built into the arms, with a small silver rivet punched into the bicep that breaks up the sculpted musculature with a mechanical accent. The helmet’s visor housing, the ribbed tubing feeding into the shoulder armor, and the orange gauntlet holster all layer up nicely from this angle, reinforcing that blend of organic muscle and embedded tech throughout the limbs.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 22

The rotating visor feature from the classic design is fully intact here, and as it cycles through each lens position you get a clear look at the different eye sculpts underneath. Mr. Home Arcade captured all three rotations side by side, so you can see the visor shifting from a pointed triangular lens to a rounded dome to a squared-off shape.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 23

The up-close shot of the legs reveals just how intricate that hexagonal camouflage pattern is, with layered geometric shapes printed across every surface of the pants in a way that mirrors the tactical camo seen on the MOTU Chronicles version of the character. You can see the pattern wraps consistently from thigh to calf, maintaining tight registration even over the sculpted muscle contours and joint seams.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 5

The sniper rifle stretched out flat gives you the best sense of its full proportions, with that extended barrel making up nearly two-thirds of the total length. The folding bipod tucked underneath the stock is a nice detail that’s easy to miss when the rifle is posed in hand.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 11

Tri Klops looks great posed up with the sniper rifle, and you can really take in the sculpted scale-like texture running across the arms and legs. The copper gauntlets and belt pop against the darker tones of the body suit, giving the whole outfit a layered, military-tech feel.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 3

From this angle you get a much better sense of just how long that sniper rifle is, with the barrel extending well past the knee.

Here’s a great look at Tri Klops stripped down without his chest armor, alongside every removable piece laid out, the helmet, shoulder armor with its ribbed tubing, the studded skirt, and the sniper rifle. Even without the bulky chest plate, he holds up well on his own, with the tight dark bodysuit and camouflage pants carrying plenty of visual interest.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 7

The sniper rifle’s sculpt is packed with mechanical detail, from the ribbed barrel to the blocky scope and stock, and it’s easily the longest accessory in the set. The chest armor shows off its copper-toned ribbed tubing looping over the top, while the studded skirt piece sits alongside its copper buckle clasp, giving you a clear look at the texture and construction of each removable part.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 8

The scope on the sniper rifle has tiny icons sculpted into it that mirror the different eye shapes found on the rotating visor, a clever Easter egg tying the weapon directly back to the character’s signature feature. Mr. Home Arcade got close enough to let you pick out those engraved lens shapes, which are easy to overlook but add a whole layer of intentional design connectivity between the rifle and the helmet.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 25

The front view without armor reveals the sculpted bodysuit’s full torso detailing, with sharp chevron-shaped panel lines tapering from the shoulders down through the midsection and a pronounced collar ring around the neck peg. Flipping to the back, you can see a matching set of angular grooves carved into the shoulder blades and upper back, proving the sculpt work holds up just as well underneath all that removable gear.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 24

Comparisons

All five versions of Tri-Klops lined up, from the Cartoon Collection on the far left through Origins, the 2026 movie figure, the mini comic exclusive, and the 200x on the right, really lets you appreciate how each iteration interprets the same character across wildly different design eras. The movie version anchors the center with his heavy tactical build, while the flanking figures range from bright green and pink to muted earth tones, showing just how much visual ground the character has covered over the years.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 19

Mr. Home Arcade set up a fun comparison between the classic MOTU Origins Tri-Klops and the 2026 movie version, and you can immediately see how different the design philosophies are, from the vintage bare-chested warrior look to the fully armored tactical build.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 9

The Cartoon Collection Tri-Klops brings a completely different vibe with his bright green helmet, exposed muscular build, and studded Roman-style skirt, and swapping his green chest shield onto the movie body creates a striking hybrid that blends classic fantasy with tactical armor. You can see how the Cartoon Collection’s broader color palette and vintage proportions contrast sharply with the movie version’s darker, more grounded camouflage pants and segmented limb armor.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 12

Placed side by side, the 200x Cartoon Collection version and the movie Tri Klops really highlight how much bulkier and more heavily armored the film design is, with its layered shoulder plates and ribbed tubing versus the 200x figure’s sleeker, more exposed physique. The 200x version’s gray and copper armor sits cleanly on the movie body, and you can see the wider belt buckle and studded skirt panels integrate surprisingly well with the darker lower half.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 13

The mini comic Tri-Klops exclusive pairs well here with the movie version, and swapping over that gray chest armor with its silver center buckle and coiled tubing creates yet another clean hybrid that leans into a more muted, mercenary aesthetic. Mr. Home Arcade keeps finding new parts swap combinations that work, and the mini comic figure’s yellow headband and bare skin tone make for a stark contrast against the movie build’s fully covered, tactical silhouette.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 14

Wundar’s armor swapped onto the movie Tri Klops body sells the marksman look perfectly, with the gray shoulder plates and studded skirt pairing naturally with that long sniper rifle. The shaggy brown hair and gritted expression complete the rugged soldier aesthetic, making this one of the most convincing parts swap combos Mr. Home Arcade has put together.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 15

Tri Klops teams up with Beast Man for a good old-fashioned ambush on He-Man, with that fuzzy red mane and fanged snarl making Beast Man an imposing partner in crime. The sword tucked at Beast Man’s hip and the whip trailing along the ground add nice detail to the scene, while He-Man squares up with fists raised, ready to take them both on…or is he surrendering?

Tri Klops MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 2

Tri Klops fits right in alongside Spikor and Beast Man as part of the Evil Warriors lineup, with each figure bringing a completely different silhouette, from Spikor’s spiked crystalline body to Beast Man’s fur collar and bare-chested brute frame. I love the way Mr. Home Arcade grouped them to show how the movie designs maintain distinct visual identities while still feeling like they belong on the same team.

I picked up this MOTU Origins Movie Roboto a little while back after he surfaced on eBay with zero announcement I couldn’t pass him up. The figure showed up completely unannounced, no solicitation, no press images, nothing, so when listings started popping up, I jumped on one even knowing the markup was steep. Getting him in hand, the first thing I noticed is how the sculpt balances the classic Roboto design cues with what appears to be a movie-influenced aesthetic. The chest cavity still has that signature transparent torso element that’s been a hallmark of the character since the vintage line, but the overall proportions and surface detailing lean into something more cinematic. He comes with removable hands and a swappable blaster attachment for the arm, which is a nice nod to his original action feature without overcomplicating things at this scale. For a figure that technically doesn’t officially exist yet in Mattel’s marketing, the paint apps and plastic quality feel consistent with what we’ve been seeing from the Origins Movie line so far. Roboto has always been one of those characters who gets overlooked in roster discussions, but he’s had a solid presence across Classics and Origins already, so seeing him get a movie treatment is a welcome surprise. If you’re hunting for him, listings are still floating around on eBay if you want to grab one before any official release details surface.

Packaging

The front of the packaging shows just how massive Roboto is, filling the entire blister window from edge to edge with barely any room to spare. On the back, the artwork by Francisco Etchart is absolutely stellar, depicting Roboto in a dramatic battle scene with rich reds and deep blues that really sell the sci-fi tone of the 2026 movie design.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 17

The side panel artwork is what really gets me excited here, because it features the Skel-Knights, these armored skeletal warriors that look absolutely menacing and would make incredible MOTU Origins movie figures if they ever get produced. The front card art carries that same dark, moody sci-fi aesthetic with a close-up of Roboto’s helmet and torso rendered in deep purples and cool blues.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 18

The bottom of the box gives you the UPC barcode so you can scan it in stores if you’re hunting this one down, since Roboto showed up without any official announcement and has only been spotted through secondary market sellers so far. You can also see it lists the contents as one figure and one accessory, which lines up with that swappable blaster attachment.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 1

The collectible card front features a gorgeous close-up of Roboto’s helmet and blue shoulder armor set against a fiery orange and purple backdrop, while the back shows a towering mechanical figure amid castle ruins with the bio reading: “Roboto thought her battling days were over, but the heroic mechanical warrior has another shot at adventure when Prince Adam returns to Eternia with the Power Sword. Roboto’s epic skills are unleashed, blasting through Skeletor’s evil forces!” It’s a nice inclusion, but honestly, this is yet another missed opportunity to include a mini comic with the figure, for shame Mattel!

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 21

Here’s the included instruction sheet showing exactly which parts on Roboto are removable and swappable, with each one clearly called out by a dot indicator pointing to the shoulders, forearms, hands, and that blaster attachment. I love that they went this detailed with the diagram, because you can see just how many pieces are designed to pop off and interchange, giving you a lot of options to customize the look.

Figure Details

Here’s a full front and back look at Roboto, and I love how the red mouthguard on the helmet pays homage to the vintage Roboto design, sitting just below that narrow blue visor and giving the head sculpt a familiar nod that longtime fans will immediately recognize. From the back, you can see the large, angular armor plating on the upper back with those faceted, geometric shapes that flow into the shoulder joints, plus the clear chest panel revealing the mechanical internals from the rear as well.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 19

From the side, you can really appreciate how the blue forearm armor has a smooth, rounded profile that tapers down toward the wrist, contrasting with the angular, faceted shapes on the upper shoulder pads. The knee area shows off those segmented gray guard plates wrapping around the joint, and you can see how the dark inner framework of the legs is visible between the armored sections, giving the whole build a layered, mechanical depth.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 20

Here is the blaster arm attachment that comes packed with Roboto, and you can really appreciate the compact, stocky proportions of the weapon with its squared-off barrel section and the wraparound blue housing that locks it into the forearm socket. The sculpted panel lines and recessed geometric shapes running along the barrel give it a utilitarian, no-nonsense military feel that fits right in with the rest of the armored design.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 12

You can see how swapping between the standard hand and the blaster attachment completely changes Roboto’s proportions, with the bare hand giving a more balanced, symmetrical look while the blaster adds serious asymmetrical bulk to one side. I like that both configurations work equally well, because the forearm sockets accept either piece cleanly, so you’re free to mix things up depending on whether you want a stripped-down or heavily armed display.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 23

Here’s an up close look at the inner workings of Roboto, and you can really appreciate the intricate sculpted gears, pistons, and mechanical details packed inside the torso beneath that clear chest armor. The blue shoulder armor and upper arms frame the whole assembly nicely, with rivets and panel lines molded into the surrounding pieces to keep everything feeling cohesive.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 5

The blaster attachment has a great chunky, multi-barreled design with deep sculpted recesses that give it real mechanical weight, and it integrates seamlessly into the forearm socket. I love how the narrow blue visor on the helmet pops against all that black and red framing, giving Roboto such a rad, intimidating look up close.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 11

You can see the open sockets on the shoulders where the rocket launchers normally plug in, and those connection points are clean and well-integrated into the surrounding blue armor. The chest panel reveals all those sculpted gears and mechanical innards underneath, with tiny pistons, circular housings, and layered machinery filling every square inch of the torso cavity.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 14

Here’s a great front and back comparison of Roboto’s legs, and you can see how the thigh armor has these layered, segmented panels with horizontal vent-like grooves sculpted into the kneecaps. The feet have a really cool split-toe, almost claw-like design in dark gray, and I love how the red accents peek through at the knee joints from the back view, breaking up that deep blue and black color scheme just enough to add visual interest.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 22

The claw arm attachment has a really cool pincer design with two curved prongs that taper to sharp points, and the sculpted at the base gives it a believable, functional look. You can see how the gray tone on the claw contrasts nicely against all that blue armor, making it feel like a distinct tool rather than just another piece of the suit.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 3

Here’s a closer look at what’s underneath once you remove that back blue armor piece where the rocket launchers attach, and the mechanical detailing on the inner torso is seriously impressive, with sculpted circular housings, recessed panel lines, and layered machinery covering the entire back section. The contrast between the matte black mechanical internals and the clear lower chest panel really lets you appreciate how much work went into engineering parts of Roboto you’d normally never even see.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 4

Here’s a great up close shot of the shoulder-mounted rocket launchers, and I love how each one has a rectangular, multi-port face with four sculpted barrel openings that give them a serious industrial look. The lower jaw section on the helmet is such a nice homage to the vintage Roboto design, with that jagged, segmented edge along the red chin guard that echoes the original toy’s open-jaw aesthetic.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 6

You can see how the clear armor wraps all the way from the front around to the back of the torso, forming one continuous shell that encases the entire midsection and lets those sculpted mechanical internals stay visible from every angle. The segmented ribbing molded into the lower section adds a nice structural texture, and I love how the blue chest plate sits right on top, locking the whole assembly together where it meets the shoulder joints.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 7

Here’s a close look at the removable rocket launchers from underneath, and you can see the hollow, recessed interiors with small peg ports sculpted inside each housing that lock them into those open shoulder sockets we saw earlier. The angled, wedge-shaped profile of each launcher is much more apparent once they’re off the figure, with flat faceted surfaces and sharp geometric edges that give them a real industrial, modular feel.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 13

The blaster arm attachment has a real heft to it when you look at it from this angle, with that cylindrical mid-section feeding into the squared-off barrel housing up top.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 15

I love how all of the MOTU Origins Movie figures look together, and you can really see how each one has its own distinct visual identity, from Roboto’s massive blue and silver armored frame to the wild purple spikes on Spikor and the furry red collar on Beast Man. He-Man’s classic tan and brown look grounds the whole group, and the sheer size difference between Roboto and the rest of the crew is something you don’t fully appreciate until you see them side by side like this.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 10

Here’s a great size comparison between Roboto and He-Man that really shows off just how much larger that movie design is, towering over him with those thick, heavily armored legs and massive shoulder pads. The blaster arm attachment that comes packed with the figure has a broad, angular shape with multiple sculpted barrel openings, and you can see how it replaces the standard forearm to give a completely different silhouette on that side.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 8

The size difference between Roboto and Spikor is wild when you see them next to each other, and with the shoulder-mounted rocket launchers removed, you get a much cleaner look at those open shoulder sockets and how the blue armor panels sit on the upper body without the extra bulk. That spiked flail accessory on Spikor is a nasty piece of work, with a chain linking the handle to a heavily textured wrecking ball covered in sharp, tapered spikes.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 9

Here’s how Roboto compares to Beast Man, and I love how flexible the claw attachment is, because you can manipulate it around his arm easily, bending and repositioning those curved prongs without any resistance. The contrast between Beast Man’s organic, muscular sculpt with that furry red collar and Roboto’s full mechanical armor really highlights how much variety Mattel packed into this movie line.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 16

MOTU Core Comparison

Roboto’s size difference really jumps out here, with the MOTU Origins movie version towering over the MOTU Core Combat Ready Roboto while carrying a much bulkier frame through the shoulders, forearms, and lower legs. The Core figure on the left keeps a more compact build and shows off the action feature gimmick with the oversized cannon arm and clear chest panel, while the larger Origins release expands on that same design language with wider armor plating, clawed hands, larger feet, and a more detailed transparent torso section exposing the internal mechanical sculpt. I like seeing both styles side by side because it really highlights how the movie-inspired line is scaling these characters up while still keeping recognizable design elements between the two versions.

Roboto MOTU Origins 2026 Movie Figure Review 24

The rear comparison gives a much better look at how differently these two Roboto figures are engineered, especially through the back panels and torso construction. The MOTU Origins movie version uses layered translucent panels wrapping around the torso to show off more internal tubing and mechanical detailing underneath the armor shell. The larger figure also carries much heavier shoulder armor, segmented back plating, and a more complex leg design with thicker joints and larger clawed feet. I really like how the movie version feels almost exo-suit inspired from behind, while the smaller Core figure leans harder into the classic toy gimmick look.

Fresh in from Mr. Home Arcade, who has come through once again providing the best detailed view of this figure! Check out his YouTube review as it will give us an excellent look at the Man-At-Arms MOTU Origins movie figure, and there’s a lot to unpack here for collectors following the Masters of the Universe movie line. The sculpt work on Duncan carries a distinct cinematic design language that separates him from his vintage and Classics counterparts, with armor detailing and proportions that lean into the film’s aesthetic. From what I can see in these images pulled from his coverage, the headsculpt does a solid job capturing that grizzled warrior look, and the armor has some nice layered texturing that photographs well. The accessories appear to round out the package nicely, giving collectors some solid display options right out of the box. I appreciate how Mr. Home Arcade always takes the time to show every angle and give us a thorough breakdown, because with movie figures like this, the details in the paint apps and sculpt accuracy really matter when you’re deciding whether to pull the trigger. Whether you’ve been all in on the Origins movie figures or you’re still on the fence about this wave, these images should help you make that call. Scroll through below and see what you think of Duncan’s big screen look for yourself.

Packaging

The front card artwork shows a fiery explosion of red and orange behind the classic Masters of the Universe logo, while the back features stunning painted art by the talented @fetch.franciscoetchart depicting Man-At-Arms in heavy armor with his mace raised against a volcanic Eternian landscape. Mr. Home Arcade gives a great look at both sides of the packaging here, letting you appreciate how that back panel illustration really sells the character’s rugged, battle-worn design.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 28

You don’t usually see this on figures in the States, but Australian Targets place security stickers right on the back of the card. At least it landed on the legal fine print instead of over that gorgeous back panel artwork, so that’s a win.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 1

Mr. Home Arcade grabbed a close-up of the UPC barcode for you, so if you’re hunting for Man-At-Arms at retail, the number to look for is 194735350858. The assortment code JKJ35 and individual item number JKJ38 are also visible just above, which can help when checking store inventory systems.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 2

The included instruction sheet maps out all the removable and swappable parts on Man-At-Arms, with dots marking the helmet, shoulder armor, gauntlets, belt, and knee guards as separate pieces. It’s a nice confirmation of just how modular the design is, giving you a clear breakdown of every component you can pop off and interchange.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 3

Figure Details

The front view gives you a full read on how those layered armor pieces stack up, with the oversized gauntlet on one forearm sitting noticeably bulkier than the slimmer wrist guard on the other, creating an asymmetrical loadout that keeps the design from feeling too uniform. From the back, the copper plate covers the torso almost completely with only the green bodysuit peeking through at the joints and waist, and you can spot the mace clipped snugly to the thigh holster on the rear view as well.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 29

These side-by-side profile views really drive home how asymmetrical the armor design is, with the left side showing a smooth, rounded shoulder cap and a flush thigh plate while the right side features a bulkier shoulder piece with a sculpted circular port and a much larger, boxier hip guard that juts outward. Mr. Home Arcade nailed the framing here, letting you compare both profiles at a glance so the deliberate mismatch in armor coverage and shape between each side is impossible to miss.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 30

You get two alternate angles on those painted-on gloves here, and the fist grip really emphasizes how the darker shading pools into the valleys between each knuckle while the raised areas stay lighter, creating a convincing worn-leather effect through paint alone. The sculpted finger joints are tight and clean on both views, with each digit curling naturally into the palm.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 33

The helmet’s angular geometry really comes through from this profile view, with flat faceted planes meeting at sharp edges rather than following a smooth dome shape. You can also pick up the small rectangular vents and ports sculpted into the side panels, functional little details that reinforce that military-tech design language.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 4

Man-At-Arms leads a squad of Eternian Palace Guards, and the difference in armor tone immediately sets him apart, his copper-gold plating running noticeably darker than the bright orange worn by the troops flanking him. I love the way Mr. Home Arcade staged this formation to highlight that visual hierarchy, making it instantly clear who’s in command without needing a single word of context.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 11

Here’s the full parts breakdown laid out piece by piece: the chest armor, helmet, two gauntlets, a shield-shaped knee guard, the ammo belt, the mace, and the blaster, all removable and spread out so you can see every sculpted ridge and contour on each component. The mace features a ribbed shaft capped with a bulbous head, while the compact blaster has a boxy look that keeps it proportional to the figure’s grip.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 15

The mace’s spherical head has a visible seam line wrapping around its equator and circular rivets pressed into the surface, while the grip section features stacked, segmented rings that taper down to a flared pommel. Mr. Home Arcade pulled in tight on the blaster too, revealing carved groove lines running along its barrel and a post rising from the top.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 16

Stripped of every piece of armor, Man-At-Arms reveals the lean olive green bodysuit underneath, and you can see how the bare buck still carries sculpted muscle definition across the chest, abs, and thighs without any of the copper plating doing the heavy lifting. The brown boots and dark skin tone on the exposed forearms and hands are all that break up the green, giving you a clear sense of just how much visual weight those removable components were adding to the overall silhouette.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 34

Love the way Mr. Home Arcade posed Man-At-Arms here, fist clenched forward and mace raised high, pure “come get some” energy. The copper-toned armor layered over that olive green bodysuit creates a great contrast, and you can see how the sculpted detail on the chest plate and shoulder guards gives him a real chunky, armored silhouette with the holstered pistol on his hip completing the look.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 7

You can see how the mace clips securely to the thigh armor while the blaster stays gripped and ready, so nothing gets lost on the shelf. That built-in storage is a smart design choice, keeping every included piece attached to the figure at all times.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 8

From the back, Man-At-Arms looks just as good with that blaster drawn, and you can really appreciate the sculpted panel lines and riveted texture running across the rear of the chest armor. The knee guards and shin plating wrap around cleanly from every angle, proving there’s no skimping on detail where it counts.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 9

The blue helmet really pops against his darker skin tone, and you can make out the mustache and focused expression on that face sculpt from this distance. His blaster is extended outward with the mace dangling from the opposite hip, giving you a full read on how the belt hardware and holster details tie the whole midsection together.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 10

The thigh armor ports are sculpted with recessed square borders framing each peg hole, giving them a deliberate, engineered look rather than just a plain circular opening. You can also see a cross-shaped groove etched into the face of the right plate surrounding its port, a detail that differentiates it from the smoother left side and helps you instantly tell which weapon mounts where.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 31

The blaster tucks firmly into the sculpted holster port on the left thigh, with the grip angled outward for a quick draw, while the right side shows the mace’s ribbed shaft sliding through a loop built into the armor plate so it hangs vertically against the leg. Both ports are purpose-molded into the thigh guards themselves rather than generic pegs, so each weapon only fits its designated side.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 32

Mr. Home Arcade custom-drilled small holes into both the wrist gauntlet and the blaster to fit those blast effects, so don’t mistake this for a stock feature, it’s a clever modification that doesn’t come standard out of the package. The fiery spike jutting from the gauntlet and the muzzle flash on the blaster sell the “weapons hot” look perfectly, and it’s a testament to how well the sculpted armor lends itself to creative customization.

Man-At-Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 35

The back chest armor’s sculpted surface is packed with recessed rectangular vents, raised spine ridges running down the center, and oval port holes flanking each side that give it a utilitarian, mechanical feel you wouldn’t fully appreciate at shelf distance. That central column of stacked rectangular segments acts like a reinforced spine brace, tying the upper shoulder plates to the lower torso wrap in one continuous structural line.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 18

Parts Swapping and Figure Fun

Here’s a fun bonus from Mr. Home Arcade, swapping the Man-At-Arms armor onto Wundar from MOTU Origins, and the result is surprisingly cohesive. The copper chest plate, oversized gauntlet, and ammo belt all fit that muscular buck cleanly, and paired with Wundar’s brown boots and shaggy hair sculpt, he looks like a scrappy Eternian mercenary who raided the armory.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 17

All three versions of Man-At-Arms lined up for a clean height and style comparison, with the Lords of Power on the left, the movie figure in the center, and MOTU Origins v1 on the right. The movie version stands slightly taller with a leaner, more military-proportioned build, while the two flanking figures share that classic stocky buck with thicker limbs and broader torsos, making the design philosophy behind each release immediately obvious.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 26

The Lords of Power Man-At-Arms and the movie version share enough common design DNA that swapping parts between them works surprisingly well, with the copper armor pieces sitting naturally on the green buck of the classic figure. You can see how the movie helmet, chest plate, and gauntlets integrate cleanly with the vintage-styled body, while the Lords of Power version rocks a distinctly brighter orange loadout that gives both figures their own identity even when mixed and matched.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 19

From the back, you can see how cleanly the parts swap works between these two, with the movie figure on the right now wearing the Lords of Power chest armor and helmet while the Lords of Power version on the left rocks the movie’s orange backplate and blue helmet. The rivet patterns and panel lines on the copper movie armor contrast sharply against the smoother, flatter surfaces of the Lords of Power gear, making it easy to tell which parts belong to which figure even from behind.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 20

The 200x Man-At-Arms on the left brings the most exaggerated proportions of the three, with wider shoulders and a heavier overall frame, while the Cartoon Collection version on the right leans into that Filmation simplicity with smoother, less detailed armor surfaces. The movie figure splits the difference nicely in the center, carrying more intricate sculpted armor detailing than either companion without going as broad or stylized in build.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 27

The original MOTU Origins Man-At-Arms makes for a natural parts-swap partner, and you can see how the movie armor sits on that bright green buck with the copper shoulder guards and gauntlets scaling perfectly against the classic figure’s proportions. His vintage light blue helmet and mustached scowl paired with the movie chest plate create a fun hybrid that splits the difference between retro and cinematic.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 21

Swapping parts with the Cartoon Collection Man-At-Arms reveals how well the movie armor translates across different bucks, and without the blaster or mace cluttering the frame, you get a much clearer look at that Idris Elba likeness on the left, the brow, nose bridge, and jawline all coming through stronger with the helmet pulled back slightly. The Cartoon Collection version on the right sports a noticeably different face sculpt with a thick mustache and angrier expression, making this a great side-by-side to see just how distinct each take on the character really is.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 22

Man-At-Arms and He-Man paired up close really shows how well their color palettes complement each other, the copper and olive armor against He-Man’s silver chest piece and brown leather creating a cohesive Eternian aesthetic without looking too matchy.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 14

He-Man and Man-At-Arms stand shoulder to shoulder with Battle Cat stripped of all his armor, fangs bared and green-striped fur fully exposed, so you might as well call him Cringer here. Mr. Home Arcade lined up the movie heroic warriors together for this group shot, and without Battle Cat’s usual saddle and helmet, the raw sculpt work on that massive feline body really gets its moment.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 25

Man-At-Arms towers over a downed Movie Spikor, gripping him by the throat with that oversized gauntlet while the purple beast’s spiked armor and clawed feet splay out across the ground. Movie He-Man and MOTU Origins He-Man flank the scene like a pair of bouncers who didn’t even need to step in, and Mr. Home Arcade staged the whole thing perfectly to make Duncan the undisputed star of the moment.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Figure Review 23

Man-At-Arms is also keeping Movie Beast Man in check here, driving a fist into that wild red-maned head sculpt while He-Man and Man-At-Arms back him up like they’re just waiting for the next one to try something. Beast Man’s massive clawed feet and textured fur collar sell the sheer size of the brute, making it all the more satisfying to see Duncan dropping him to his knees.

We’ve been keeping an eye on this one and with the Masters of the Universe movie is locked in for its June 5, 2026 theatrical debut, over the last few months, Mattel is pulling back the curtain on a massive wave of movie-inspired figures spanning multiple lines, and we wanted to put together one comprehensive resource so you can navigate launch day with confidence. Whether you’re eyeing the highly detailed MOTU Chronicles, the kid friendly MOTU Core line, the classic-styled MOTU Origins interpretations, or even the Mattel Brick Shop collectibles, there’s a lot to keep track of across different retailers, price points, and ship dates, and our goal here is to make sure you don’t miss a single listing when preorders go live on April 25, 2026. I love how Mattel is approaching this release by giving collectors multiple entry points across different scales and aesthetics, because it means whether you’re a Chronicles completist who wants the premium sculpt and accessories or an Origins purist who appreciates seeing movie designs filtered through that vintage-inspired format, there’s something here that fits your shelf and your budget. We’ve think we’ve captured everything but their are two wild card origins figures with Tri-Klops and Man-At-Arms so we put placeholders for those listings. We’ll be updating this guide as new listings surface and prices are confirmed across retailers, so consider this your one-stop reference point for everything tied to the MOTU movie figure rollout. Bookmark this one, because launch day is coming fast and the last thing any of us want is to be scrambling across a dozen tabs trying to track down that one figure you might have overlooked.

Hot off the press as our good friend @masterversal_toyhunter came through with some great in-hand shots of the Trap Jaw Movie MOTU Origins Deluxe Exclusive, and this one is worth slowing down for. We’ve been watching the movie-inspired Origins figures roll out, and Trap Jaw has always been one of those characters where the design translation matters. From these images, Mattel appears to have nailed the balance between the classic Origins aesthetic and the new movie influence. The mechanical arm and jaw prosthetic look sharp, with a level of sculpt work that gives the figure real shelf presence even at this scale. The color palette feels like it pulls from the film’s grittier tone while still keeping that unmistakable MOTU energy collectors expect from the line. Accessories look solid too, with the interchangeable arm attachments that have always been core to any good Trap Jaw release. The packaging is the familiar Origins Deluxe window box, which is a nice touch for anyone who keeps these carded. As a Walmart exclusive, availability could be tricky depending on your area, so if you want to track one down, you can check current stock over at Walmart. Scroll through the images below and see how this one looks outside the box. You can also check out Masterversal ToyHunter’s YouTube review here!

Packaging

Here’s Trap Jaw out of the box with everything he comes with laid out, including the blade attachment, the hook already fitted to his mechanical arm, and the collector card. @masterversal_toyhunter framed this nicely to give you a full picture of the complete package contents alongside the card art.

Trap Jaw Movie MOTU Origins Deluxe Exclusive In Hand Images 1

The front card art features Trap Jaw leaping into action against a fiery Snake Mountain backdrop, and you can see how he fills the entire window with that bulky mechanical arm and armor taking up every inch of space. The back artwork is just as striking, showing him on a ledge along with Snake Mountain’s jagged silhouette looming behind him in moody purples and volcanic orange.

Trap Jaw Movie MOTU Origins Deluxe Exclusive In Hand Images 3

The box side panels carry some gorgeous artwork, with one side depicting a rocky, skull-littered stairway climbing toward a glowing volcanic skyline and the other featuring a tight portrait of Trap Jaw snarling under his spiked helmet, gripping a weapon with his organic hand. The warm oranges and deep earth tones wrap around the entire box and tie both panels together nicely.

Trap Jaw Movie MOTU Origins Deluxe Exclusive In Hand Images 4

The collector card gives you Trap Jaw’s portrait on the front with his snarling green face framed by that red helmet, while the back features a menacing Snake Mountain scene with lightning and molten lava veins running through the rock. It’s a nice inclusion, but honestly, a mini comic exploring the movie lore would have been a much better fit for a deluxe exclusive like this, and it feels like a missed opportunity.

Trap Jaw Movie MOTU Origins Deluxe Exclusive In Hand Images 5

Figure Details

The front view shows off Trap Jaw’s blue skin tone against the dark metallic greaves and heavy armored boots, with green wrist bracers and thigh guards adding contrast to the brown loin cloth’s ragged edges. From the back, you can see how the leather-like harness straps cross over the torso sculpt, and the mechanical arm’s cylindrical housing with its serrated blade attachment extends almost to the floor, with the hook accessory resting nearby.

Trap Jaw Movie MOTU Origins Deluxe Exclusive In Hand Images 7

Trap Jaw looks great fully kitted out with both attachments in play, the hook fitted to his mechanical arm while he grips the serrated blade in his organic hand. @masterversal_toyhunter posed him well across both angles, giving you a solid sense of how imposing all that layered armor and weaponry looks when everything comes together.

Trap Jaw Movie MOTU Origins Deluxe Exclusive In Hand Images 8

You can see the blade and hook attachments swapped between views here, and without the chest harness, that bare blue torso sculpt with its deep muscle definition is fully on display. The mechanical arm’s cylindrical housing dominates the silhouette, and the ornate belt buckle and tattered loin cloth do all the visual heavy lifting across the midsection now that the harness is out of the equation.

Trap Jaw Movie MOTU Origins Deluxe Exclusive In Hand Images 9

A face only a mother could love. The side-by-side comparison shows off Trap Jaw’s hinged jaw in both open and closed positions, and you can see how that green face sculpt shifts from a wide, teeth-baring snarl to a tighter, almost smirking expression just by clicking the jaw shut. Those beady dark eyes, the furrowed brow, and the jagged teeth lining the red helmet’s lower jaw all work together to make this one of the ugliest mugs in the lineup, in the best possible way.

Trap Jaw Movie MOTU Origins Deluxe Exclusive In Hand Images 6

You can remove the chest harness, wrist bracer, and loin cloth with belt, and here they’re laid out separately so you get a clear look at each piece. The harness has riveted straps with spiked shoulder armor, the loin cloth features a sculpted belt buckle with embossed detailing over tattered fur-like fabric, and the bracer carries matching carved textures.

Trap Jaw Movie MOTU Origins Deluxe Exclusive In Hand Images 2

These close-up panels let you appreciate the layered engineering on the leg armor, from the circular riveted knee joint and segmented greave plates down to the heavy, flat-soled boots with their recessed panel lines. The mechanical arm’s close-up reveals sculpted buckle clasps and raised ridges along the housing, with sharp fin-like protrusions curving off the shoulder cap that you just don’t catch at full-figure distance.

Trap Jaw Movie MOTU Origins Deluxe Exclusive In Hand Images 11

You can really see just how much Trap Jaw towers over He-Man here, with his heavy armor plating, chunky greaves, and that massive mechanical arm making him look like an absolute unit next to the leaner, classic MOTU Origins build. The size difference sells the idea of a bruiser who’d be a genuine physical threat on screen.

We’ve been keeping an eye on this one and it’s time to share what we found, because this is the kind of detective work that makes running Toy Habits so rewarding. For weeks now, we’ve known that the 200x Masters of the Universe Origins lineup had deluxe figures slotted alongside the Wave 5 and Wave 6 figure assortments, but the actual character names attached to those slots remained a mystery, with Amazon listings showing product codes and documentation but no identities to go with them. That was puzzle piece number one. Puzzle piece number two came when we were able to scan some barcodes provided by an anonymous source, and when those scans returned results, the names finally shoed up. We can now confidently report that Whiplash and Man-E-Faces are the two missing deluxe figures rounding out the 200x Origins waves 5 and 6, and based on the product codes we’ve cross-referenced, we also know which wave each one belongs to. Whiplash as a deluxe makes immediate sense when you think back to how the 2002 animated series portrayed him as this hulking, oversized brute on par with the deluxe treatment we’ve already seen given to characters like Beast Man and Clawful, so seeing him get that same scaled-up presentation here feels like exactly the right call. Man-E-Faces is a bit more of a head-scratcher at first glance, but once you remember how he towered over He-Man and that the his entire gimmick revolves around three faces and that rotating head mechanism, the deluxe classification starts to make a lot more sense since that kind of built-in feature likely demands extra tooling and engineering that wouldn’t fit a standard release budget. Tracking these waves has been a while ride from discovering the figure assortments, then going from blank Amazon listings with no names attached to scanning barcodes and finally locking in the identities is exactly why we stay patient when the puzzle pieces don’t quite fit at first, and it’s moments like these that remind me why toy investigative journalism is such a thrill. With the 200x MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection Wave 5 preorder, now the big question is when Mattel will pull back the curtain with official reveals, and whether these two will live up to the high bar the 200x Origins line has been setting.

Whiplash (JHK13): Wave 5

The Target in-store scanner confirms Whiplash as a Masters of the Universe Origins Deluxe 200X figure, with TCIN 94975033 and DPCI 087-26-4883 listed at $23.99.

Whiplash 200x MOTU MYP Animated Series 8

Whiplash 200x MOTU MYP Animated Series 7

Man-E-Faces (JHK14): Wave 6

Like the Whiplash listing, the Target in-store scanner confirms Man-E-Faces as a Masters of the Universe Origins Deluxe 200X figure, with TCIN 94975034 and DPCI 087-26-8566 listed at $23.99.

Man E Faces 200x MOTU MYP Animated Series 8h

Man-E-Faces 200x

This full body shot of Man-E-Faces in his Robot face gives a good sense of his overall proportions, with the heavy gray and orange armor plating covering his torso, arms, and legs while red trim lines the edges of his shoulder and knee guards. His size is substantial, and you can see how the bulky armor design across his entire frame justifies the deluxe treatment for the Origins line.

Man E Faces 200x MOTU MYP Animated Series 6fa

A still from the 200x Masters of the Universe animated series showing Man-E-Faces in his Monster face, with his heavy chest armor and mechanical details.

Man E Faces 200x MOTU MYP Animated Series 1c

A close-up from the 200x animated series with Man-E-Faces showing his human face, the stern expression framed by the mechanical drum mechanism flanking his jaw and the tall helmet rising above. Yellow segmented strips run vertically along the faceplate housing on each side.

Man E Faces 200x MOTU MYP Animated Series 2d

Man-E-Faces towers over He-Man here in his Robot face, the rectangular visor glowing with a teal slit across a blocky, mechanical head. It makes sense that he’d be a deluxe figure given that size difference, as he dwarfs He-Man by a full head and shoulders in the 200x series.

Man E Faces 200x MOTU MYP Animated Series 3e

A close-up on the Robot face from the 200x series, with that bright glowing visor slit cutting across the mechanical head. We highly doubt Mattel would include a light-up feature like this in the Origins figure, but the face-swapping drum mechanism should still capture the angular, blocky design of this mode nicely.

Man E Faces 200x MOTU MYP Animated Series 4f

Man-E-Faces in his Human face getting grabbed by Beast Man, with those clawed fingers wrapping around his helmet and armor. This would be a great scene to recreate once the Origins deluxe figure is in hand, especially with a 200x Beast Man alongside him.

Man E Faces 200x MOTU MYP Animated Series 5g

A great shot of Man-E-Faces in his Monster face, mid-roar in a dense jungle setting with both arms raised, the horned beast visage baring its fangs. The mechanical drum housing and heavy gray armor on his forearms and shoulders really sell how imposing he is in this mode.

Fresh in from Australia, AmigaCammy on YouTube came through with some great in-hand shots of the MOTU Origins Movie Tri-Klops and Man-At-Arms figures, and these are looking sharp. These two have been high on the radar for Origins collectors ever since the movie figure lineup was revealed, and seeing them out of packaging gives us a much better sense of what Mattel is delivering here. Tri-Klops has that unique movie armor design with his signature visor translated into a more grounded, cinematic aesthetic while still fitting right into the Origins style. Man-At-Arms looks solid as well, carrying that seasoned warrior presence with his updated movie look and a nice complement of accessories. The sculpt work on both figures does a great job bridging the gap between the new live-action designs and the classic Origins format we all know and love. Now, these are currently hitting shelves in Australia, and we’re hoping it won’t be long before they show up stateside. The MOTU Origins movie figures are retailer exclusives here in the U.S., split between Target and Walmart, so keep your eyes peeled during those store runs. For now, scroll through the images below and get a closer look at what’s coming our way.

Figure Details

Tri-Klops and Man-At-Arms face off here, and AmigaCammy does a great job framing the pair to show off how well the movie aesthetic translates into the Origins line. Tri-Klops sports olive drab tactical gear with camo-patterned pants and his signature visor, while Man-At-Arms is loaded up in copper and green segmented armor.

Tri Klops and Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie In Hand Images 1

You get a solid rear view of both figures, and there’s a lot to take in. Tri-Klops has a studded skirt piece wrapping around the back of his waist, while Man-At-Arms features a bulky backpack unit with recessed vents sculpted into his copper chest armor.

Tri Klops and Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie In Hand Images 2

AmigaCammy really gets in close here, and you can pick out details like the riveted texture on the belt buckle, the segmented strips running down the loin skirt, and the snakeskin-like pattern across the pants. The visor wraps tightly around the head with a small triangular emblem at the center, while the gold-ringed harness straps cross over a dark chest piece covered in narrow sculpted grooves.

Tri Klops and Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie In Hand Images 3

Man-At-Arms gets a detailed close-up showing the layered sculpt work across his copper chest plate, with recessed panel lines, raised emblems, and segmented shoulder guards stacked with ridged plating. His blue helmet has a clean sculpt with rectangular vents along the sides, green ear covers, and a stern face with a thick mustache peeking out beneath the brim.

Tri Klops and Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie In Hand Images 4

AmigaCammy staged a full battle scene here, with Spikor lunging forward swinging his mace, He-Man mounted on Battle Cat with sword raised, and Tri-Klops and Man-At-Arms holding their ground on the opposite side. Battle Cat’s crimson helmet and green-and-yellow striped body make a strong centerpiece, while the oversized Power Sword prop laid across the scene ties the whole MOTU display together.

Tri Klops and Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie In Hand Images 5

You can see the clash up close here, with Spikor squared up against Battle Cat’s snarling open maw, fangs bared and helmet horns jutting forward, while He-Man rides atop swinging his sword overhead. Man-At-Arms holds position just off to the side, and a couple of additional figures further back fill out the skirmish line nicely.

Tri Klops and Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie In Hand Images 6

Man-At-Arms stands his ground with pistol drawn while Tri-Klops takes aim with his rifle from a distance, the two positioned on opposite sides of the charging Battle Cat. The spread between them suggests a coordinated pincer formation, each covering a different lane of the fight.

Tri Klops and Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie In Hand Images 7

Man-At-Arms braces goes for his blaster while Tri-Klops lines up a shot with his rifle from across the scene, and the tension is all about who pulls the trigger first.

We’ve been keeping an eye on this one and it’s great to see it finally materialize in full. Official images of the Man-At-Arms Paladin MOTU Origins Sketch Book Series figure have surfaced online, giving collectors a clear look at what’s been on the radar since we first caught word that Skeletor and Man-At-Arms were headed to the Sketch Book Series back in February 2026. Huge thanks to @tavarisjamarrcarter for the heads up on this one, because going from early intel to official images is exactly the kind of journey that makes tracking these releases so rewarding. The Sketch Book Series has been carving out a really cool niche within the Origins line by leaning into that raw, illustrated aesthetic that feels like the figures jumped straight off a concept artist’s sketchpad, and seeing Man-At-Arms get the treatment in his Paladin look is a fantastic choice that ties into the character’s warrior roots in a way that feels fresh while still honoring what we know and love about Duncan. Every previous Sketch Book Series release has landed as a Target exclusive, so I’d fully expect this one to follow the same path, which means collectors will want to keep their eyes on Target’s shelves and website once this starts hitting. The stylized line work deco that defines this series continues to look sharp, and Man-At-Arms feels like a natural fit for it given all the armor detail and weaponry the character carries. I’m fired up to see this one confirmed and can’t wait to get a closer look at the full accessory spread and packaging once more details roll in.

Official Images

Man-At-Arms Paladin stands in his classic green, brown, and tan color scheme, draped in a dark fur-textured cloak with spiked shoulder armor and a blue pointed helmet. He comes with his concept-inspired rifle and mace, both carrying sculpted detail that fits the Sketch Book Series aesthetic nicely.

Man At Arms Paladin MOTU Origins Sketch Book Series Official Images 1a

He’s gripping both the rifle and mace at once here, and honestly, the figure just looks great loaded up with both weapons. The chunky, spiked armor on his legs and the brown leather-like boots give him a heavy, grounded feel from head to toe.

Man At Arms Paladin MOTU Origins Sketch Book Series Official Images 2b

Man-At-Arms Paladin is holding his mace in this angled shot, and you can clearly see how the spiked shoulder armor wraps over his frame and the leg armor sits as separate overlay pieces, not sculpted directly onto the legs, just like the original concept art. That cloak drapes down his back with a rough, shaggy texture that contrasts well against the smoother armor plating.

Man At Arms Paladin MOTU Origins Sketch Book Series Official Images 3c

From the back, that plastic fur cape really steals the show, with each strand individually sculpted in overlapping layers that give it a dense, shaggy texture you can almost feel. The tip of his blue helmet just barely peeks above the cloak’s mass, selling how bulky and enveloping the piece is.

Breaking out of nowhere, we have a discovery that I absolutely did not see coming, and I love it when the hobby throws us a surprise like this. Massive thanks to @doctorgrumbles on Instagram for flagging this one, because a MOTU Origins Movie Deluxe Roboto has surfaced and it caught pretty much everyone off guard. This figure popped up on eBay and while it hasn’t been officially announced by Mattel, the packaging and figure are right there for all to see. From the photos floating around, the box alone tells you this is going to be a big boy, and I mean that literally because he looks MASSIVE, which is exactly what you want from a Deluxe release of a character like Roboto. What makes this even more exciting is the context of the MOTU Origins Movie line so far, which has leaned heavily toward the Evil Warriors side of the aisle with Spikor, Beast Man, Trap Jaw, and Tri-Klops all already accounted for alongside He-Man and Man-At-Arms on the heroic side. Getting Roboto as the next heroic warrior to join the ranks feels like a welcome shift in the balance, and it’s the kind of deep cut pick that shows Mattel isn’t just playing it safe with obvious choices for this sub-line. The Origins Movie roster now sits at seven figures strong, and with Teela having been teased on the Fright Fighter box art, there’s real hope she could be next in the pipeline. For now though, feast your eyes on what might be one of the most unexpected additions to the Origins Movie line yet, and I can’t wait to see more details on this one as official intel rolls in.

MOTU Origins Movie Roboto

The box front displays striking artwork of Roboto in a powerful stance with blue energy crackling from his fists, set against a stone stairway backdrop with Eternian architecture crumbling around him. Through the window, the figure sits in a generous-sized tray that really shows off the scale of this deluxe release, with his translucent torso panel and metallic blue armor catching the light nicely.

Roboto MOTU Origins Movie Deluxe Figure Box Front

The back of the box features dramatic artwork of Roboto in a full sprint, being pursued by Hover Bots against a fiery Eternian skyline with Castle Grayskull looming in the distance. Two inset callout images at the bottom show off the plug-in cannon attachments for his arms, hinting at some solid play features packed into what is clearly a massive figure.

Roboto MOTU Origins Movie Deluxe Figure Box Back

The side panel artwork features a close-up of Roboto’s helmeted head, with glowing blue accents across the visor and a deep purple and blue color palette that gives the illustration a cinematic feel.

Breaking out of nowhere, we’ve got our first look at two unannounced MOTU Origins movie figures showing up in the wild before Mattel has even pulled back the curtain on them officially. A Reddit user in Australia stumbled upon both Tri-Klops and Man-At-Arms sitting right there on the shelf at a Target AU location, and while the discovery itself is exciting, there’s a catch: when they tried to purchase the figures, the system flagged them as not available for sale yet, which is the kind of heartbreak only a collector who’s held the thing in their hands can truly understand. What makes this even more interesting is that I don’t believe we’ve seen any official images of these two Origins figures from Mattel at all, so this shelf sighting is genuinely the first time collectors are getting eyes on how these movie versions of Tri-Klops and Man-At-Arms are shaping up in this scale and format. Seeing both figures now surface on retail shelves on the other side of the world adds a whole new layer of confirmation that these releases are very real and likely closer than we might have expected. Tri-Klops getting the Origins treatment is particularly noteworthy since he’s one of those characters collectors have been waiting to see translated from the new movie designs, and the fact that he’s showing up alongside Man-At-Arms suggests Mattel may be rolling these out as part of the same wave. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this one and hoping official images and preorder details aren’t far behind, because going from an Amazon listing to an in-store sighting without a single official reveal in between is exactly the kind of wild ride that keeps this hobby so unpredictable.

Full Card Front and Card Back Images

Man-At-Arms sits in the clear blister on a card featuring fiery, skull-laden artwork with red energy bursts and floating weapons. This is our best straight-on look at the actual figure, and they really nailed Idris Elba in Origins form, from the blue helmet down to the green and gold armor with its sculpted chest plate and layered shoulder guards.

The back of the card showcases artwork by @fetch.franciscoetchart, with Man-At-Arms in a green and copper suit of armor, one hand raised and the other gripping a mace overhead, posed on rocky terrain against a fiery Eternian skyline with Castle Grayskull in the background. Fetch gave him a great sense of motion here, and the mix of techy armor plating with the classic green fabric underneath translates the movie design nicely into illustrated form.

Man At Arms MOTU Origins Movie Card Back

Tri-Klops gives us our best look yet at the figure still on the card, and the details are strong. His olive green armor has gold trim running down the chest strap and across the belt, with a studded loin cloth, black boots, and that signature visor helmet sporting a red center lens.

Tri Klops MOTU Origins Movie Card Front

The back of the card features striking artwork by @fetch.franciscoetchart, depicting Tri-Klops in full tactical gear with a red-lensed visor helmet, olive and brown armor, and a long-barreled sniper rifle, set against a purple sky with lightning and the massive Snake Mountain looming behind him. Fetch really brought the intensity on this one.

Tri-Klops and Man-At-Arms MOTU Origins

Both Tri-Klops and Man-At-Arms are carded here on their retail packaging, spotted at a Target in Australia before their official street date. The card art features a fiery red and orange explosion motif that’s consistent across the Masters of the Universe Origins line, with each figure sealed in a clear plastic blister.

Tri Klops and Man At Arms MOTU Core Confirmed

Man-At-Arms

I’m looking at a tight shot of the blister where the figure is sealed in a clear plastic shell that’s molded closely around the body and accessories, keeping everything locked in place. The card behind it is filled with a fiery red and orange burst pattern that spreads outward, giving the whole presentation a high energy backdrop while the accessories are slotted into their own formed sections along the sides.

Tri-Klops

I’m getting a closer look at how this figure is packed with the clear blister hugging the shape of the body and gear, holding everything firmly in place. The figure is centered with a green armored look that includes layered chest plating, a wide belt with a metallic buckle, and a textured skirt piece, while the helmeted head sits snug at the top of the tray. Off to the side, I can what looks like his Sniper Rifle tucked into its own compartment, and that same red burst pattern fills the card behind it, really framing the figure inside the bubble.

This one caught me off guard, because what many of us initially glanced at and dismissed as stylized artwork on the back of the MOTU Origins Movie Fright Fighter box is turning out to be something far more interesting. It looks like the Masters of the Universe team has been pulling a very clever trick with their movie packaging, blending actual photographs of prototype figures seamlessly with illustrated artwork in a way that makes it genuinely difficult to tell where one ends and the other begins. That “art” of Teela on the Fright Fighter box? That’s not art at all. That’s a real, physical prototype of a MOTU Origins Movie Teela figure, carefully composited into the packaging design so naturally that most collectors scrolled right past it without a second thought. I love how sneaky that approach is, and it makes you wonder how many other reveals might already be hiding in plain sight on packaging we’ve already seen. This discovery brings the confirmed MOTU Origins movie lineup to five figures now, with He-Man, Spikor, Teela, Trap Jaw, and the recently discovered Tri-Klops and Man-At-Arms that surfaced at Target Australia rounding things out. The fact that the team is finding ways to tease upcoming figures by weaving real prototypes into what appears to be standard box art is such a fun layer to this whole rollout, and it has me going back to look more carefully at every inch of packaging from the movie line. If Teela was hiding right there on the Fright Fighter box this whole time, who else might be tucked away on shelves we’ve already walked past?

What initially looks like standard box art is actually a clever blend of artwork and real figure prototypes. The Teela standing alongside He-Man is not illustrated, she’s a prototype of an unannounced MOTU Origins Movie Teela, sporting a white and brown outfit with armored plating on her legs and dark bracers on her forearms.

IMG 0598

The closer look at the box art confirms that He-Man and Teela are not illustrated, they are actual figure prototypes composited into the painted scene. He-Man’s gold armor and sword have real plastic sheen and sculpted detail that separates them from the surrounding artwork, and the same goes for Teela’s layered costume and the sword she’s gripping.

IMG 0596

Zoomed in on just the Teela prototype, the white and brown color scheme with black striping down her legs reads clearly as a distinct movie design rather than anything from the classic Origins line. Her flowing red hair and the gold sword she’s wielding overhead are the standout details at this scale.

We first got our eyes on this one when Mattel pulled back the curtain on the Sketch Book Series lineup in their Spring 2026 catalog reveals, and now the Man-E-Faces Sketch Book Series MOTU Origins figure has officially landed on Target’s website, which means collectors can stop wondering about availability as we are. I have to admit, this is one of those figures that really hit the sweet spot for me because the entire concept behind the Sketch Book Series is rooted in pulling from Mark Taylor’s original 1980s concept art, designs that have never previously been translated into Origins action figures, and seeing Man-E-Faces get that treatment feels like a full circle moment for anyone who appreciates the foundational DNA of the Masters of the Universe brand. The figure comes equipped with a bold, textured poncho that is removable, giving you display options that range from his raw concept look to a more layered, ceremonial presentation, and the elaborate scepter he comes with adds a regal quality that really sets him apart from any Man-E-Faces release we have seen before. Of course, the signature turnable visage is intact, but this time around all three faces are completely new sculpts, which tells you Mattel was not content to simply repaint what already existed and instead committed to making this feel like a genuine interpretation of Taylor’s vision. Seeing it go live on Target is a big deal because it moves this from catalog tease to something tangible that collectors can actually secure although we don’t know when the figure will be available to order so stay tuned!

April 26, 2026 Update: In Stock and Ready to Ship

After months of the figure going in and out of stock, looks like the MOTU Origins Sketch Book Series Man-E-Faces official launch date is today! Huge thanks to Mr. Home Arcade for the heads up!

Hot off the press, and this time the intel is coming all the way from New Zealand! Massive thanks to Masterversal Toyhunter for the heads up on this one, because we now have our first look at the MOTU Origins Movie Trap Jaw in his full packaging, and it’s a great way to finally see how Mattel is presenting this figure on shelf. We’ve been tracking this release ever since the Walmart exclusive preorder went live, but seeing a figure sealed in its box out in the wild is always a different experience compared to official product shots, and this one does not disappoint. The sighting comes courtesy of Mark Hernandez, who managed to find the Origins Movie Trap Jaw at a Farmers store in New Zealand, which is interesting because this figure is a Walmart exclusive in the US, yet collectors in other regions are already finding it on shelves at retailers like Farmers and The Warehouse. The packaging itself gives us a clean look at how the figure sits in the box, showing off that movie-inspired design with the mechanical jaw and arm attachment that made Trap Jaw such an iconic part of the MOTU villain roster long before he ever hit the big screen. I love how these international sightings keep giving us a preview of what’s to come stateside, and for collectors in the US who are waiting on their Walmart orders or hoping to spot him on the pegs, this is a promising sign that distribution is moving along. It’s always fun when the hobby connects us across the globe like this, with a collector in New Zealand giving the rest of us our first real taste of what to expect. Can’t wait to see more in-hand shots start rolling in as this one spreads to more shelves.

In-Package Images

Our best look at the front of the box yet, and the card art features Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Movie Box in a fiery, dungeon-style setting with rich orange and red tones throughout. Inside the window, the figure is packed with his oversized mechanical arm attachment and a metallic gunmetal bladed weapon alongside the blue and green color scheme of the figure itself.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Movie Box 1

The back of the box gives us our first look at some fantastic card art by the talented fetch.franciscoetchart featuring Trap Jaw standing on a rocky outcrop with his cannon arm raised, while the jagged silhouette of Snake Mountain looms behind him against a purple sky streaked with lightning. Two smaller inset images along the bottom show a full figure shot with his accessories and a close-up of that green face sculpt with his hinged jaw.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Movie Box 2

The side panel artwork is stunning, with a painted illustration that really brings Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Movie Box to life through the art alone. His green face is rendered with deep wrinkles and a snarling grin full of jagged teeth, framed by that spiked red helmet and a leather-strapped blue outfit, all set against a moody red glow.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Movie Box 3

The other side panel continues the painted artwork with a stone staircase carved into a rocky cliff face, winding upward toward a fiery red sky. Skulls impaled on spikes flank the steps at the top and bottom, setting an ominous tone that feels pulled straight from the approach to Snake Mountain.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Movie Box 4

Still no in-hand images of Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Movie Box yet, but here’s a closer look at him through the packaging window, hopefully we’ll get some loose shots soon. That massive mechanical arm with its gunmetal finish takes up a good chunk of the tray, and the olive-green belt buckle and knee guards add a nice contrast against his blue skin.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Movie Box 5

That green face sculpt is only a mother, or Skeletor, could love, with a wide, sinister grin baring a row of teeth along the lower jaw and deep-set eyes beneath heavy brows. The red helmet wraps tightly around the head with a ridged crest running down the center, and the jaw piece extends down with its own set of jagged fangs framing the chin.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Movie Box 6

The bottom of the box for Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Movie Box shows the standard regulatory and recycling information printed against a dark background, with the UPC barcode positioned in the lower right corner.

Previous In-Box Images

Mark Hernandez coming through with a solid haul here, giving us our first look at the MOTU Origins Movie Trap Jaw in the wild alongside a mix of Chronicles and WWE Elite figures. This is a Walmart exclusive in the US, but it’s already showing up at Farmers in New Zealand, so big thanks to Masterversal Toyhunter for the heads up on that one.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Deluxe Movie Packaging

The card art features a fiery, lava-filled Eternia backdrop with an illustrated Trap Jaw lunging forward in his movie-accurate armor, all dark metallic plating over blue skin. Big thanks to Romany Benitez for sharing this packaged shot from Farmers St Lukes, giving collectors a clean look at the blister window and the swap-out arm attachments packed alongside the figure.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Deluxe Movie Packaging2

Next to the Chronicles Tri-Klops, I like seeing how much more space Trap Jaw commands in the box, with the figure appearing taller and bulkier inside the packaging. The side-by-side view makes it clear he scales up noticeably, lining up more with the larger build seen on the movie Beast Man figure.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Movie Walmart Exclusive In-Box

We get a tight, clear look at the figure here and this is easily our best look yet, with the bright green face sitting inside that orange helmet and the mechanical jaw sculpt locked in place. The upper body shows off the blue torso with a strap running across it, while the shoulder armor and oversized silver mechanical arm take up a lot of space on the left side of the bubble. Down below, the green belt, layered thigh armor, and dark boots come into view, and I like how the extra weapon pieces are tucked in along the sides without crowding the figure.

Where to Buy

You can preorder the figures at the following retailers below

Official Images

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Movie Figure stands taller than the standard Origins scale, with blue skin, a tattered brown fur loincloth, and olive green armor plating on his belt and thighs. His massive mechanical arm ends in a hook attachment, and a blade is displayed alongside him as an alternate accessory.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Movie Figure Deluxe Walmart Exclusive 1a

The metallic gunmetal finish on Trap Jaw’s armored legs and shoulder pauldron has a nice sheen to it, with riveted details sculpted into the plates. His red helmet frames that green face with a jawless, toothy grin that’s classic Trap Jaw through and through.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Movie Figure Deluxe Walmart Exclusive 2b

Outfitted with a leather-look harness strap across his torso, Trap Jaw’s chest area shows sculpted rivet details along the brown crossbody band. I’m really digging the hook accessory on his mechanical arm, which has a nice silver plastic finish that contrasts well against the dark gunmetal of the arm itself.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Movie Figure Deluxe Walmart Exclusive 3c

Armed with the hook attachment extended outward, Trap Jaw’s mechanical arm shows off the layered cylindrical sculpt of its barrel section, with concentric ring details and a pointed spike protruding just behind the hook. The spiked shoulder pauldron and chest armor have a heavy, industrial look that fits the movie redesign well.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins Movie Figure Deluxe Walmart Exclusive 4d

Trap Jaw’s green face is captured here with his mouth open, showing off the sculpted teeth along his upper jaw. The olive green belt and brown fur loincloth break up the blue torso nicely, and those dark mechanical legs have a ton of sculpted mechanical detail running all the way down to the boots.

UPDATE! Gray was confirmed today!

Word just came in that the Mattel Creations launch calendar has been updated with some new dates for May 2026, and it looks like Masters of the Universe collectors have something to look forward to on May 6th and huge thanks to El Cofre Geek for the heads up on this one. The listing is tagged as “Member Only First 24 Hours,” which means this is not a Club Grayskull exclusive, so all Mattel Creations members will have early access before it opens up more broadly. Now, the big question is what figure are we actually getting? With only nine vintage MOTU figures remaining in the original lineup, every new drop carries real weight at this stage of the Origins line, and the speculation is already running wild. During the Mattel Creations REVEALED 2026 event, we got the grand reveal of Laser Power He-Man, which immediately had collectors wondering whether Laser Light Skeletor could be next in line to round out that pairing. That would be a logical move and one that would hit the sweet spot for anyone who had those figures as a kid or has been chasing that late-era vintage aesthetic in Origins form. Beyond that, Twistoid and Rotar were recently teased, and seeing either of those deep cuts finally get their Origins treatment would be a blast, especially given how unique their action features were in the original line. There is also the MOTU Chronicles angle to consider, because with King Grayskull already released for that sub-line, could we see another Chronicles figure surface as part of this May drop? It is not out of the question, and that line has a lot of potential to pull from lore that goes well beyond the vintage roster. While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, the puzzle pieces are lining up for an exciting month. The MOTU Collectors graphic announces a Wednesday, May 6th sale at 9am AEST, with the first 24 hours reserved for members. While we patiently wait for a tease in the Club Grayskull forums, we run down the remaining MOTU Origins figures below.

Masters of the Universe Mattel Creations Exclusive May 6 2026 1

Two-Bad

Two-Bad is a two-headed Evil Warrior who is basically two different beings sharing the same body. In some ways he is like siamese twins, although both halves of his body are very different-looking creatures who appear to be from entirely different species. His right half is a blue creature, while his left half is a purple, scaly creature with an eyebrow-like yellow band on his forehead. Two-Bad was introduced into the Masters of the Universe toy line in 1985. Originally marketed as the “double-headed evil strategist” it is implied he is a master of strategy due to being two warriors in one, but his main trait in all story media is that his two heads have a habit of endlessly arguing with each other, meaning he has always generally been used for comic relief.

Two-Bad has been teased several times on MOTU Origins card art! Two-Bad first appeared on the Battlefield Warriors box art as he looks like he is in pursuit of He-Man.

We then got to see him on the MOTU Origins Deluxe Terror Claw Skeletor card back art where he was backing up Terror Claw Skeletor with Spikor by his side in a battle against Flying Fist He-Man that continued on his deluxe card back. We now know that Spikor is coming to the line, so it’s only natural that Two Bad could following not too far behind!

He also appeared on the card art of Mini Comic Roboto so hopefully that means the figure is not too far off in the distant future.

Laser Light Skeletor

And with Laser Power He-Man, of course comes with nemesis, Laser Light Skeletor, also part of the Powers of Grayskull! Also prominently featured on the Eternia package artwork, you can see Laser Light Skeletor battling against Laser Power He-Man! But he too was previously teased on the Camo Khan Card art as well!

MOTU-Origins-Eternia-Official-Box-art-Laser-Power-He-Man-Laser-Light-Skeletor

Laser Light Skeletor is featured very prominently on the back of Camo Khan’s card back art! He can be seen multiple times illustrated throughout the comic. He is seen shooting out his laser beam, sitting on his throne and commanding his evil henchmen Camo Khan to attack! One of the rarest of the original vintage action figures, Laser Light Skeletor is a sought after a very expensive vintage figure to acquire. If Mattel were to release him in the Origins line, I think fans would be totally over the moon with excitement!

Laser Light Skeletor was one of the two remaining deluxe release figures of the vintage Masters of the Universe line in 1988. He had light up eyes and a light up hand. The light up feature was activated by lifting his right arm, and his havoc staff was semitranslucent, so it was supposed to lit up while he held it in his right hand. By the time this figure was released, the line’s popularity had died out in the United States, so it was released in Europe. Today, Laser Light He-Man and Laser Light Skeletor are of the highest valued figures of the entire MOTU vintage line and fetch triple digits!

According to the Battle Ram Blog:

Laser-Light Skeletor, released in Italy and Spain a year after the end of the Masters of the Universe toyline in the US, was a figure most North American fans were not aware of until they discovered it online years later. That was certainly true for me. Because the figure was produced in limited numbers overseas, it’s one of the most expensive vintage He-Man toys to acquire today. (Update: I’m also informed that there was some distribution of Laser Light Skeletor in Switzerland. Thanks to Olmo for the information.)

Tytus

Tytus, one of the last produced characters of the Vintage Masters of the Universe Line, and one of two giants, is prominently featured on the front of the card back art whelding his giant hammer! Both Giants, Tytus and Megator are both illustrated on Camo Khan’s card back art, so could Mattel be planning to release their two Powers of Grayskull giants? Can’t wait to find out!

According to Wiki Grayskull:

Tytus is a giant aligned with the forces of good. He is a contemporary of King Grayskull and He-Ro from the Preternian era, when the Ancients were threatened by the Snake Men. The character was developed for Mattel‘s “The Powers of Grayskull toy line, a spinoff of the declining Masters of the Universe franchise that would explore the heroes and villains of prehistoric Eternia. However, plans for the line were scrapped, and Tytus was only made available in Europe as one of the last figures under the Masters of the Universe brand. As a result, he appears in little (if any) of the 1980s fiction, and is among the most obscure characters in the franchise.

Tytus | Wiki Grayskull | Fandom

The vintage Tytus action figure can be see below, and was only released in Italy and Spain. The original box art for the Tytus shows him battling against King Hiss along with He-Ro. It also describes his role in the world of Preternia. How cool would it be to get a Tytus in the Origins line with rooted hair!

We already know we are getting King Hiss, who was revealed at SDCC, so are we also going to get one of my personal favorites, He-Ro? I would to see an Origins version of the unproduced He-Ro figure with Vac Metal chest armor!

Megator

Megator, was the second of the two giants last produced for the Vintage Masters of the Universe Line, and is prominently featured on the front of the card back art spinning his giant spiked mace! Tytus and Megator are both illustrated here, so could Mattel be planning to release their two Powers of Grayskull giants? Only time will tell, but it is so exciting to see them here.

Megator on Camo Khan Card art

Megator, evil Giant Destroyer was one of the last vintage Masters of the Universe characters to be released in 1988. One of two giants, Megator and Titus, the two rarest of the MOTU vintage figures, was released only in Europe, primarily in Italy. Originally designed to be part of the spin off “Powers of Grayskull” line, Megator and Titus were still released with the Masters of the Universe logos on their packaging. Megator, the green giant evil warrior stands 15″ tall and came with real rooted hair. He included a spring-loaded right leg for a kicking action feature, and he came with a spiked ball and chain.

Twistoid and Rotar

Twistoid and Rotar were recently teased on the Blast Attak card back and the artwork is pure chaos, with Blast Attak charging forward as sparks and debris fly from the impact, his mechanical limbs angled as if he’s mid strike and closing the distance fast. In the upper left, Rotar is teased with his spinning arms in motion, while the lower left corner gives us a glimpse of Twistoid twisting into the action, and I love how those nods feel tucked into the mayhem rather than staged. King Hiss lurks in the background, watching it all unfold, which adds that classic sense of looming control while the scene keeps pushing forward with nonstop movement.

Twistoid

Also a big thank you to our Toy Habits crew member Grrrraffe for helping us decipher these mystery figure pictured on the Eternia Box art. Yes it is none other than Twistoid!

MOTU-Origins-Eternia-Official-Box-art-Twistoid-Tease

Twistoid was originally released for the Mattel vintage Masters of the Universe line in 1987. Commonly seen together with his counterpart, Rotar, he was a very odd character that was released at the tail end of the line.

According to Twistoid | Wiki Grayskull | Fandom

He is a member of the Evil Warriors, he is a cybernetic warrior with no legs, whose lower body is shaped like a spinning top, enabling him to twist along the ground at super-speed. This enables him to trick opponents and easily dodge attacks.

Twistoid was one of the last figures to be released in the 1980s toy line. He was created as an evil rival to the heroic character of Rotar. Given his late introduction into the toy line, Twistoid is one of the line’s lesser-known characters and thus received little exposure. The only official medium to feature Twistoid is the Mattel mini-comic “Energy Zoids“. In this story, Skeletor steals the machine with which Man-At-Arms had created the Heroic Warrior Rotar and uses it to create Twistoid.

Mattel also designed a vehicle called the Gyratakker, which was intended to launch Rotar and Twistoid into combat. This vehicle features in the comic, but the toy line was cancelled before it could be released.

The action figure first released by Mattel in 1987 is a very rare and sought after collectors item today. Its rare existence can be attributed to being released very late into the toy series original run.

Twistoid was never featured in the Filmation accompanying cartoon because it had ended by the time his figure was released.

Twistoid | Wiki Grayskull | Fandom

Twistoid was later as a two pack with his counterpart Rotar for the MOTU Classic line in 2015. Here ,they actually came with human legs that can be switched out for their rotating lower bodies.

Rotar & Twistoid

Rotar

Rotar, Heroic Master of Hyper Spin was originally released by Mattel in 1987. One of Mattel’s later releases, Rotar continued the gimmick heavy theme by coming with gyro gears that would make him spin! This figure was very unique in that it was half action figure and half twistoid spinning toy. With only articulated arms, this twistoid action figure was considered a deluxe release with it’s included axe, gears blade and multi-geared spinner accessory / stand. The trademark on Rotar was renewed just this year on 01/13/2022! So Mattel is going hard with new trademark renewals signally the line is strong and we have so much more to see in Origins!

Rotar Masters of the Universe Trademark Renewal

Gwildor

We reported on a back in the beginning of April of Gwildor being included on a leaked list. Now being it was April 1st, we don’t know if it was part of an April Fool’s joke, or if it was legitimate. But seeing as Gwildor’s trademark was renewed just last year on 07/30/2021, then perhaps it may be legitamate! Gwildow was a fairly newer character to the Masters of the Universe world. He was introduced into the line after appearing in the 1987 live-action movie Masters of the Universe, starting Dolph Lundgren. Gwildor is a member of the Thenurians, which are a dwarf-like race. As you can see by the tools and equipment that adorn him, he is a is a famous locksmith and inventor. Gwildor is notable mainly for his greatest creation: The Cosmic Key, a mechanical device with the ability to transport its holder to any place throughout space and time. With his trademark being renewed just last year, this is great news for fans of the movie who were hoping to see movie figures made from the vintage line! Of course, we don’t have the official images yet, but the figure below represents the vintage Gwildor from 1987. We are sure other movie figures will follow like Blade, Saurod, and possibly a movie version of He-Man (played by Dolph Lundgren) and Skeletor (played by Frank Langella).

Gwildor Masters of the Universe Trademark Renewal

Blade

Blade, evil master of the sword looked like a pirate and was featured in the was live action 1987 Masters of the Universe movie. We have yet to see Blade teased on any MOTU Origins art or packaging so we are probably a long ways away from getting this figure. Interesting enough, we could not find any information on Mattel’s trademark for Blade.

Blade was a mercenary, and one of Skeletor’s finest warriors. He was a swordsman of great skill, carrying two swords and an array of knives. He had a deep hatred of He-Man, and was eager to face him in battle.

Blade was sent to Earth by Skeletor, along with Beast ManKarg and Saurod, to find the second Cosmic Key. There, Blade faced He-Man in one-on-one combat, although he retreated with the others when Teela and Man-At-Arms arrived. Blade was then forced to return to Skeletor in disgrace, and begged for one more chance; Skeletor instead vaporizing Saurod, as Blade looked on in horror. When Evil-Lyn intervened to save the lives of Blade, Karg and Beast Man, Blade accompanied her back to Earth.

Blade was also released for the MOTU Classics line in 2014.

Saurod

Saurod is another character from the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Movie. Saurod was originally released in 19876 and featured a sparking action feature from his mouth! He is a reptilian warrior who serves the evil villain Skeletor as one of his henchmen. Saurod is depicted as a humanoid lizard with a long tail, sharp teeth, and the ability to spit fire from his mouth.

Saurod was introduced in the live-action Masters of the Universe film released in 1987, where he is portrayed as a member of Skeletor’s evil forces. In the movie, Saurod is shown as a formidable warrior who is skilled in combat and uses his fire-breathing abilities to defeat his enemies. However, he is ultimately defeated by the heroic character He-Man.

Despite his limited appearance in the Masters of the Universe franchise, Saurod remains a memorable character for fans of the series due to his unique design and abilities. He has appeared in various merchandise, including action figures and comics, and has become a popular choice for collectors of Masters of the Universe memorabilia.

Saurod MOTU Vintage carded

As you can see below, the trademark for Saurod has not been renewed since April 27,1987. So the status seems to be “DEAD” and unrevivable since May 30,1994. So this leaves us guessing as to if this figure will ever be coming to the MOTU Origins line?

Huge thank to mightycomics_collectibles for the tip as word just came in that Trap Jaw has officially surfaced for preorder as a Walmart exclusive, and this is exactly the kind of retailer-specific rollout we were expecting after Mattel confirmed that the Masters of the Universe Origins movie figures would be split across different stores. If you caught our earlier coverage when the first wave of Origins movie, Chronicles, and Core preorders went live, you already know that Target picked up figures like He-Man, Spikor and the Fright Fighter vehicle, so it makes sense that Trap Jaw would find a home elsewhere, and Walmart is where he’s landed. This is a deluxe oversized release, meaning he’ll stand taller than your standard 5.5-inch Origins figures, which feels right for a character who’s always had that imposing, hulking presence whether you’re talking about the vintage line, the Filmation cartoon, or now the 2026 live-action movie. He comes packed with 16 points of articulation, multiple movie-related accessories, removable body parts for mix-and-match customization, and a character-specific Collector Card, all designed with actor likenesses rendered in that classic Origins style that bridges the gap between modern movie aesthetics and the retro feel collectors have come to love from this line. Priced at $26.97 with a ship date of July 1, 2026, this is one you’ll want to lock in sooner rather than later since Walmart exclusives have a way of disappearing without much warning. You can grab the preorder over at Walmart right now. I’m genuinely curious to see how the full movie lineup shakes out across retailers, and whether we’ll see even more characters pop up at other stores as we get closer to the film’s release.

Masters of the Universe 2026 Movie Origins Deluxe Action Figure Toys, Heroes & Villains

We’ve been keeping an eye on this one and now the mystery is finally solved. When we first broke down the full schedule of Mattel Creations April 2026 figure drops, the April 20th slot was still a question mark, and collectors were left guessing what might fill that gap in the calendar. Well, the puzzle pieces have come together and it turns out the answer is none other than Beast Man, Skeletor’s loyal enforcer, getting the deluxe treatment in the Masters of the Universe Origins line with a movie-inspired makeover. This 6.75-inch figure comes packed with 16 points of articulation and a loadout that feels like it was designed with collectors in mind, including removable sculpted-fur armor that should give him a much beefier shelf presence, a handheld whip, a dagger accessory, and a mini comic tucked inside collectible packaging. I’m really into how they’ve leaned into the movie aesthetic here while keeping it rooted in the Origins format, because that balance between cinematic design and the classic action figure feel is exactly what makes these deluxe releases so appealing when they land right. Priced at $25.00 with a ship date of April 20, 2026, this one is available exclusively through Mattel Creations, and you can lock in your preorder on the official Mattel Creations listing when it goes live. Beast Man has always been one of those characters who benefits from the deluxe treatment since the extra accessories and armor details elevate him beyond what a standard release can deliver, and seeing him reimagined through the lens of the movie source material gives collectors another reason to keep building out their Origins shelves. Can’t wait to see how this one looks in hand.

You can preorder the figures at the following retailers below

Masters of the Universe Origins Deluxe Beast Man

The card art on Beast Man’s packaging features a painted illustration of the character in a fiery, dungeon-like setting, crouching with his whip in hand and looking suitably menacing. Through the window, the figure is packed with his sculpted-fur armor, whip accessory, and a gold medallion on his chest, all set against a purple inner tray.

Masters of the Universe Origins Deluxe Beast Man 07

Featuring the amazing artwork by fetch.franciscoetchart, the back of the packaging showcases a dramatic piece of card art depicting Beast Man mid-leap with his whip cracking overhead, with Snake Mountain looming in the purple, lightning-streaked sky behind him. Two small reference photos along the bottom highlight the included dagger and whip accessories.

Masters of the Universe Origins Deluxe Beast Man 08

Beast Man holds his whip accessory, with the sculpted fur texture covering his legs and arms contrasting nicely against the brown spiked armor on his shins and shoulders. The soft goods fur collar in a burnt orange tone adds a welcome layer of depth to the figure, and that open-mouthed head sculpt with the fangs and purple-rimmed eyes is really solid.

Masters of the Universe Origins Deluxe Beast Man 01

Armed with his whip, Beast Man is posed here gripping a curved white dagger in his other hand, the small blade standing out against the warm tan of his skin tone. The gold belt and chest medallion with its tiny blue gem are nice details that break up the figure’s earthy color palette.

Masters of the Universe Origins Deluxe Beast Man 02

Covered in sculpted fur detailing from head to toe, the figure’s brown knee guards feature pale teardrop-shaped studs that mirror the spiked armor on his shoulders. His dark brown leather-look loincloth hangs in layered strips from the gold-trimmed belt, and I like how the braided cord running from the medallion across his chest adds a little extra visual texture to the overall look.

Masters of the Universe Origins Deluxe Beast Man 04

Beast Man holds his curved dagger aloft, the ivory-colored blade catching against the burnt orange fur collar that frames his snarling face. The brown studded wrist cuffs on each forearm and the clawed toes on his oversized feet are nice touches that sell the beastly design of this movie-inspired sculpt.

Masters of the Universe Origins Deluxe Beast Man 06

Sporting his soft goods fur collar, Beast Man swings from his whip, with the braided rope stretching overhead as he hangs in a full airborne pose that really shows off those 16 points of articulation. The gray spiked armor on his shoulders peeks through the collar’s thick fur texture, and the layered leather strips of his loincloth fan out naturally with the movement.

Masters of the Universe Origins Deluxe Beast Man 03

From behind, Beast Man’s removable sculpted-fur armor shows its full coverage across the back, with the soft goods fur collar looking thick and textured as it drapes over the shoulder spikes. The gold bracelet cuffs on his wrists and the braided brown whip he’s gripping overhead are clean details that round out his accessory loadout nicely.
