From early looks to key details that collectors have been waiting on, there is a lot to take in here, and it definitely feels like momentum is continuing to build across the line. We are breaking everything down for you below so you can get a clear look at what was shown and what it means for your collection.

Laser Power He-Man

Laser Power He-Man is a recreation of one of the rarest vintage Masters of the Universe figures ever produced. The original figure was released late in the vintage line and was not available in the United States, making it largely unknown to many fans at the time and highly sought after on the secondary market. Mattel’s new version is designed to stay true to the original figure’s look and feel while updating it with modern articulation and construction. The team referenced archive materials and vintage samples to refine the sculpt, maintaining the core design while adapting features that would not translate directly to modern engineering. The release gives collectors a chance to own a version of a figure that has historically been difficult and expensive to acquire. It features a classic-inspired aesthetic with updated functionality, and was scheduled to go live on Mattel Creations around the end of the livestream. I really like how the light up Power Sword becomes the focal point here, with the bright yellow blade glowing cleanly against the darker shot and making the accessory pop in He Man’s raised hand. The cord trailing down from the sword adds that wired effect tied to the feature, while the figure’s classic harness, wrist cuffs, and boots stay secondary as the illuminated blade does all the work.

I like how the light up Power Sword immediately draws your eye again, this time extending forward with that same bright yellow glow that carries through the blade. The wired connection is clearly visible running from the sword back to the waist-mounted power unit, giving a clean look at how the feature is integrated. From this wider view, you can see how the setup reads all together on the figure without getting too deep into the sculpt just yet.

The card art up top shows He Man lunging forward with the wired sword in hand, clashing against Skeletor who is depicted with a similar tech setup, which I think is a really cool nod to the Laser Light Skeletor concept right on the packaging. The figure sits inside a clear window box with the sword, power unit, and tubing visible, giving you a full look at how everything is packed together, while the desert style backdrop behind him ties back into the scene illustrated above.

Getting in close, I like how the metallic silver belt really pops here with that raised “H” detail catching the light, giving it a clean, reflective finish. The harness straps wrap tightly around the torso and connect into the side-mounted power unit, and you can clearly see the tubing running from that unit toward the sword, tying the whole feature together at this scale.

I think it’s cool how the power unit is fully built out here, with the rectangular pack sitting flush against the back and those molded panel lines giving it a mechanical look. The tubing runs cleanly from the pack up through the arm and into the sword hilt, and you can see how the connection point is designed right at the base of the handle to support the light feature.

I like how the sword is pushed into that stylized glow here, with a bright yellow core surrounded by a heavier neon edge that almost flickers along the outline. It definitely reads more like an enhanced effect for the video, since the blade appears thicker and more radiant than the actual piece, giving it that amplified energy look on screen.

I like seeing these side by side because you can immediately pick up on how the overall setup carries forward, with both figures featuring the same harness, wired tubing, and sword connection concept. The vintage release on the left shows a simpler sculpt with a flatter finish on the belt and harness, while the newer Origins version on the right sharpens those details with a more defined belt emblem, cleaner panel lines on the power unit, and a brighter translucent blade for the sword. The packaging art also mirrors the idea across both, with the newer release updating the scene while still keeping that same core action moment intact.

The helmet features a red horde symboland a vented mask, while the bright orange gloves contrast sharply against the blue arms. Here we’re moving down to the lower body, where you can see the layered gray thigh armor panels sitting over the blue legs, with red bands wrapping just above the knees. Now we’re moving around to the upper back, where you can really see how the red paint app and silver tubing wraps across his shoulders and connects into the central black mounting block. Silver tubing runs from shoulder to shoulder and feeds directly into that back port, which is designed to secure the engine pack in place.

As we continue the tour around to the lower back and legs, you can see how the black trunks and silver belt wrap cleanly around the waist, with the red bands sitting just above the knees and the bright orange boots flaring outward toward the calves. The sculpted seams and hinge cuts are visible along the backs of the legs, and this is also where you’ll notice the stamped product numbers printed on the upper thighs, which personally I’m not a fan of since they break up the clean look of the sculpt when they’re this visible.

Now we’re turning him to the side, and since the body sculpt is symmetrical, we’re really only focusing on this one profile to give you the full picture. From this angle you can see the layered sculpt work in the blue arm, the red harness wrapping over the shoulder, and the silver tubing feeding back toward the engine mount. The wheel forearm assembly is clearly visible here, showing how the orange armature connects at the wrist and supports the black tire with gray spokes, while the thigh armor, red knee band, and flared orange boot continue that clean, mirrored design down the leg. We can also get a look at the face as he has green skin with orange eyes that tie into the other oranges on his sculpt.

Now let’s take a look at his accessories laid out separately so you can see everything clearly. He comes with the large silver engine pack featuring multiple exhaust pipes and molded mechanical detailing, which mounts to his back and also functions as a handheld weapon. You also get the detachable wheel forearm assembly with the orange armature and black tire, along with an interchangeable orange gripping hand to help support different display options.

Now we’re swapping in his standard fists, and you can see how much more aggressive he looks gripping the engine as a handheld weapon. The silver exhaust assembly sits securely in his hand, with the layered pipes and twin barrel ends facing forward, giving it a blaster-like feel.

Now we’re shifting him into his vehicle configuration, laying him flat so you can see how everything comes together. Both forearms are fitted with the wheel assemblies, creating that rolling attack setup, while the engine pack is mounted securely to his back. The one thing I do wish they had added here is a bit more articulation in the neck, because in this mode he can’t really look up or forward as much as you’d want, which slightly limits how his rolling pose could be.

The layout balances illustrated action up top with clean, clearly framed figure callouts below, and the overall composition echoes the visual storytelling style long associated with Errol McCarthy’s work without trying to reinvent it. I like how it feels confident and familiar, using bold colors and straightforward character moments to set the tone, almost like it is reminding you what shelf presence looked like when MOTU first locked in its identity.

The back of the box immediately gives me that classic Masters of the Universe energy, leaning hard into a vintage presentation that feels pulled straight from the early days of the line. The artwork shows Teela mid-stride, leaning forward with her staff extended as she closes the distance, her white outfit, gold bracers, and tall boots rendered with clean lines and confident proportions. Her hair flows back under the snake headdress as the staff curves toward two approaching foes, with Beast Man getting ready for attack and Skeletor bracing himself in the distance, both clearly reacting to her advance. I like how her pose feels purposeful and controlled, using forward motion and body angle to sell the moment without clutter, keeping the focus squarely on her movement and the reach of that staff.

Here is the original artwork and this illustration offers another example of McCarthy’s distinctive approach to landscape design. In this scene, Teela discreetly observes Skeletor and Beast Man, contemplating their nefarious activities from a concealed vantage point. The copse of trees in the background is particularly notable for its thoughtful design, blending stylized natural elements with the overarching tension of the moment. McCarthy’s clever arrangement of these trees adds depth and atmosphere to the composition, while subtly framing the narrative conflict between the characters.

It looks like the third time is the charm because this is finally, the Teela was have been waiting for! He face sculpy looks great and she is dressed in her vintage inspired white and gold trimmed outfit. She comes with her classic head with her hair up and her tiara, an additional alternate head where you can place her head snake armor over, her snake staff and her shield.

She comes with her classic head with her hair up and her tiara, an additional alternate head where you can place her head snake armor over, You can see she has slightly different expressions on her face, where one is more serious, the other has a little more of a smirk on her face.

Close ups of her accessories reveal all the incredible detail in her staff and shield, but yet keeping their vintage inspired looks.

Here we can see the New Eternia version of Teela and the Vintage Collection Teela side by side. In my opinion, the head sculpt on this new Vintage Collection Teela is a a huge improvement over the previous New Eternia version.

Looking closer, the she wears a gray and red outfit with crisp sculpted panel lines and a bold Horde emblem across the chest, plus a clean portrait with blonde hair that contrasts nicely against the darker tones of her armor. She also includes her mask packed to her left.

The figure features Adora in her Despara armor with metallic silver and deep red paneling that carries a sharp Horde design across the chest. She is the Horde-Commander. She is a sea commander in a sea port in The Sea of Sigh, a small Etherian ocean. When she first confronts She-Ra, Octavia easily captures She-Ra in her tentacles. She also demonstrates, with ease that she can capture a talented fighter like Sea Hawk, when captured by Octavia, Sea Hawk appears to be drained of energy, suggesting that Octavia has abilities similar to Leech, and she can drain energy from her opponents. Her figure buck would be very unique with the tentacles coming out her back! She was released in figure form in the MOTU Classics line and that version came with 4 swords, where we are guessing the inspiration for the weapons came from.

The back of the box leans hard into classic Masters of the Universe storytelling, and I love how it drops you straight into an underwater moment with Mer-Man swimming forward, weapon in hand, surrounded by sea life and motion lines that sell the depth and pressure of the scene. Up above in the background, Beast Man and Skeletor are hauling Teela back toward Castle Grayskull, and you can clearly see Skeletor raising the Power Sword as the drawbridge opens, which ties the ocean threat directly to what’s happening on land. It feels like a snapshot pulled right out of an 80s mini comic, with Mer-Man positioned as the unseen force beneath the surface while the larger Grayskull capture unfolds behind him, and as a longtime fan, this kind of layered visual storytelling really hits for me.

I like how it feels confident and familiar, using bold colors and straightforward character moments to set the tone, almost like it is reminding you what shelf presence looked like when MOTU first locked in its identity.

Hot on the heels of today’s discovery of the 200x MOTU Origins Samurai He-Man listing, another gem has appeared on Walmart’s preview page in the form a Masterverse Vintage Collection Teela listing! While we don’t yet know what this figure will look like, just the listing alone is enough to get us excited, especially since the Vintage Collection branding suggests we’re in for something really special that pays homage to the classic roots of Masters of the Universe. And if that wasn’t enough to get the anticipation flowing, we can look forward to some killer packaging because Nate Baertsch is expected to work his incredible magic once again, channeling the legendary style of Errol McCarthy’s original MOTU illustrations for the box back art. With this combo of vintage inspiration and modern Masterverse detail, Walmart Collector Con October 2025 is shaping up to be one heck of a showcase although we are not sure if these listings were meant for prying eyes!

Huge thanks to Preternia for coming through in a big way and confirming not one, but two major Masters of the Universe initiatives: MOTU Chronicles (which we first reported on) and MOTU First Ones! This is the kind of update that gets my collector brain firing on all cylinders, because we’re finally seeing how Mattel is structuring the brand around the upcoming live-action film. First Ones looks like an all-ages, all-in experience that blends action figures, vehicles, playsets, and role-play items into a single unified line, letting fans recreate Eternia with a level of detail and dynamism that ties directly into the movie. The description paints a picture of designs inspired by the film’s aesthetic, gameplay features that support world-building and storytelling, and products that bring fans right into the epic battles of MOTU. On the collector side, MOTU Chronicles is shaping up to be a premium 5.5-inch line with a sharp focus on accuracy, articulation, and movie inspiration, set to sync with the film’s June 2026 release. The info we first got was the Chronicles figures will be Masterverse size and the articulation lines up with that. Scareglow Trademark Renewal: May 29, 2025

Exciting news for fans of the darker corners of Eternia—Scareglow, the spectral specter of Skeletor’s evil warriors, has had his trademark officially renewed, signaling potential plans for his return in one of Mattel’s modern lines. While nothing has been confirmed, the renewal opens the door for a reimagined version in the Masterverse line, where classic characters get fresh design twists rooted in early concept art and alternative designs. Either way, this move suggests Mattel hasn’t forgotten about one of the most fan-favorite and mysterious characters in the MOTU mythos—and we could be one step closer to seeing him glow again as he will be showing up in the MOTU Masterverse Chronicles line.

Scare Glow Masterverse Tease

Scare Glow was recently teased on the Masterverse Ninjor box, giving us a hint as to what is to come. A vintage style Scareglow can be seen on the right side of the packaging. He seems to be laughing and standing at the outside of Castle Grayskull! He has his green Halbert staff in his hands and has his signature purple cape.

In 2009, the MOTU Classics Scareglow was released. He was a beautiful homage to the vintage original complete with his Halbert staff and glow in the dark skeleton body with black painted bones. He also came with a key to unlock the secret entrance to Castle Grayskull. We had received an incredible Revelation version of Scareglow early in the line, but it left me wanting more. Taking a look at the MOTU Classics version of Scareglow might help inform us of what he might look like.

Official Details

This Masters of the Universe action figure of Wundar joins the Vintage Collection, designed at Masterverse 7-inch scale and inspired by the original MOTU toy design with 30 points of articulation. Wun-Dar Background

There are many theories about where and how Wun-Dar came to be, ranging from an actual Wonder Bread promotion to a buy 3 Mattel figures get one free deal so if you are not familiar with Wun-Dar or his origins, here is more about him:

The figure of Wun-Dar is an homage to the original promotional figure given away through the mail in 1981. In the late 1990s an unusual repaint of He-Man began appearing on eBay. He sported the same color scheme that Wun-Dar would come to have.

For many years there was much uncertainty about the origin of this figure and it was long believed he came from a promotion with the Wonder Bread sliced bread company however more recent research since the release of the Classics figure has disproved this. This He-Man variant was available through a promotion where you could buy 3 figures and get one free in the mail, this figure was savage He-Man.

Wun-Dar

It seems like, after much debate (and time), the consensus is that Wun-Dar was part of the Buy 3 Get 1 free promotion back in the 80’s and Scott Toy Guru Neitlich has made two YouTube Videos on the history of Wun-Dar entitled New evidence comes to light on a 35 year toy-mystery. The Wonder Bread He-Man’s origin solved! and Wun-Dar the Wonderbread Savage He-Man. His remaining mysteries reviewed and solved. Apparently the figure that was shipped was a color variant of He-Man with dark hair, a black belt, and a brown loin cloth. Now, today, there is a president for figures coming without armor (think Mer-Man from the Revelation line) but this definitely would have been a surprise in the 1980’s.

Dear Mattel…

Here is the letter that Scott Toy Guru Neitlich referenced in his YouTube video that helped shed light on the mystery of Wun-Dar and this was from a disgruntled parent who apparently did not know she was getting an “incomplete” figure with some random accessories. Thank goodness this person mailed this to Mattel as the mystery might have been unsolved or the speculation on the bread promotion might have prevailed. Here is what part of the letter says…

“I recently took advantage of your buy 3 get 1 free offer on Masters of the Universe figures. I must say it was a very disappointing experience not only for my myself but my son(s) and nephew too.

What we expected was a complete person, with equipment. For that reason, we made sure not to buy any duplicate figures so that any one that we received would be all right between the boys they now have the Castle, Battle Cat, Mer-Man, Skeletor, Beast Man, Zodac, He-Man, Man-At-Arms. Imagine their dismay with the figure they received. They asked who it was and I explained he was a special edition He-Man…”

MOTU Classics Origins

In the Classics Line, The Wun-Dar figure is an homage to this mysterious He-Man variant and the the loaf of bread and the “savage” descriptor are clear nods fans thinking this had anything to do with Wonder Bread. There is also an easter egg paint app on the back of the armor of figure that pays tribute to this as you can see a a symbol consisting of three colored circles that is very similar to the Wonder Bread logo.

Another curious detail is the backstory given on the card. The premise of a “savage” He-Man saving the Goddess and then being given his weapons by her and tasked with defending Eternia is very similar to the original origin of He-Man presented in He-Man and the Power Sword.

Wun-Dar Figure

Wun-Dar comes in the same type of exclusive packaging as we got with mini comic Tri-Klops, but we will cover that further below, with a brown shipper box with pencil art and a special cart back with front artwork and a full art work image on the back. The figure of Wun-Dar as to be expected, which is basically a re-paint of the vintage head version of He-Man. He has chocolatey brown hair in that classic vintage head style, with a darken, more brown and less orange skin tone then the He-Man Figure. He also comes with the black Zodac chest armor, black wrist cuffs, a black belt, brown shorts and black boots that tie the figure in nicely with the armor too!

You can see that the vintage accessories that came with the Vintage Wun-Dar slightly resemble the ones we get with the Origins Wun-Dar, but are still vastly different. The vintage Wun-Dar came with packed with recolored Grayskull Weapons rack accessories as we mentioned above. Vintage Wun-Dar included an axe, shield, large blaster, mace and sword. The sword is similar but has a different hilt. The axe too has a totally different handle, and the vintage Wun-Dar never came packed with a blaster.

Let’s start out by checking out the stunning new packaging for Mantenna! The packaging for the New Eternia Masterverse Mantenna showcases a striking design on both the front and back. The front features the figure displayed in a window box with bold artwork of Mantenna firing a blast from his weapon, highlighting his bulging eyes and sinister fanged mouth. The back of the box shows a full illustration of the figure in action, wielding his staff in a rocky environment, along with close-up images that spotlight his pop-out eye feature and multiple head looks. It also includes a brief bio, describing him as the Evil Horde’s spy who scouts New Eternia for Castle Grayskull’s lost pieces.

The side panel artwork shows Mantenna blasting his weapon with his bulging eyes lit up, set against a cosmic background with Horde forces flying into battle. In the upper left, a Horde Command Ship hovers among a swarm of smaller attack crafts, adding to the sense of invasion and power. Let’s take a closer look at the figure because he is amazing. Mantenna creeps into the New Eternia Masterverse line with a grotesquely detailed update that stays true to his freakish roots while introducing new levels of realism. His four-legged sculpt is packed with insectoid textures and sharp armor detailing, highlighted by a bold red and blue color scheme that pops against his menacing snarl. The figure looks wild in this New Eternia redesign! Mantenna sports his classic four-legged stance but with heavily armored blue limbs and a more segmented, insectoid texture throughout. His oversized, bulging orange eyes and gaping mouth full of fangs give him a creepy energy that really pops under the glossy red head sculpt.

Here you can see all of Mantenna’s packout. He comes with a cool blaster that you can connect the eyeball pieces to. Plus he has eyeball extensions. The armor takes on a layered design, with metallic red and gold plates across his chest and abdomen, and his blaster is his freakin eyeball.

This side angle of Mantenna highlights the elongated, insect-like legs and clawed feet, which give the figure a strong sense of stability and creature-like posture. The raised shoulder armor and flared head fins further accentuate his alien silhouette, lending him a distinctly menacing, otherworldly presence.

The neat thing about this Mantenna is the swappable eyeballs—each sculpted with eerie precision and a glossy, organic finish that makes them look unsettlingly lifelike. Combined with his Horde-branded chest armor and blast effect accessory, Mantenna looks ready to bug out and terrorize Eternia with unsettling flair. In order to swap out his eyeballs, you need to remove his faceplate. Before you try to remove his eyeballs, I highly recommend heating up his head with either a hair dryer or hot water. If you don’t heat this up, his eye balls are almost impossible to remove. But once you heat it up, the eyeballs pop out easily, then you can swap them out.

The yellow-orange orbs extending from the eye stalks gleam under the display lighting, emphasizing their translucent material and exaggerated shape. His extended blaster accessory, featuring a spiraling red energy effect and matching orb at the tip, reinforces the exaggerated visual language of the character. Mantenna looks fantastic in motion! Here Mantenna’s spindly four-legged stance really shines, showing off how poseable his limbs are while still keeping that bug-like balance. From the front, his wide, bulbous eyes and toothy maw look alive. With this reveal, every box from Wave 19 has now been shown, giving collectors a complete look at how the assortment is shaping up on shelves. Mantenna’s packaging continues the tradition of showcasing dramatic artwork of Simon Eckert, and while we don’t yet have the high-resolution images of the art, history tells us those should follow soon. For now, the box reveal itself is a great capstone to Wave 19, and it builds even more excitement as we anticipate the chance to pore over the detailed illustrations and see how they expand on Mantenna’s lore and visual identity within the Masterverse line.

To make things even sweeter, the figure details we’ve uncovered paint a really exciting picture of how this Masterverse Vintage Collection version of Evil Lyn is shaping up. She’s built on a fully articulated body with 30 points of movement and she’ll come equipped with a dramatic cape that adds a ton of presence when displayed. We can’t wait to see what her box art looks as it will most likely be based off of the classic art from Errol McCarthy. This would make the fifth version Evil-Lyn in the Masterverse line and we are guessing that this Vintage Collection version is figure everyone has been waiting for. Although her Masters of the Universe Revelation figure had some promise at showing us a classic Lyn, the figure design was based too much on her cartoon appearance. The next two Evil-Lyn figure were also from the Masters of the Universe Revelation line plus her upcoming New Eternia release, there are lots of Linny’s to choose from. It’s exciting to see an Evil-Lyn that cold payy homage to her MOTU Classics era figure!

It would be amazing if Evil-Lyn came packed with Screeech as it would pay homage to how she was packed in the MOTU Classics line!

While WAve 20 was first revealed at San Diego Comic Con 2025, there was a bit of mystery surrounding one of the figures identities as it wasn’t clear if we were looking at Adora or her darker alter ego, Despara, but the info we’ve found points to Despara going on the box. After going through the details, it also looks like we can finally confirm that 2 out of the 3 figures in Wave 20 will carry the New Etheria branding, a label that was curiously absent from the earlier Mantenna and Mosquitor releases. It’s great to see this sub-line making a comeback, connecting the worlds of Etheria and Eternia once again with some of the most visually striking box designs the Masterverse line has seen yet.

The Masterverse Vintage Collection Man-At-Arms figure has officially surfaced in package via eBay, giving us our first real look beyond Mattel’s digital render. Packed in the retro-inspired Masterverse packaging, the figure sports his classic green skin tone, orange armor, and gold mace accessory. The back of the box features amazing vintage-style artwork showing Man-At-Arms and Teela battling creatures on the borders of Eternia, a clear nod to the 1980s card art. The back also highlights his swing mace feature and the ability to store his gear on his back, which is like the New Eternia Masterverse version.

Getting an up-close look at the Masterverse Vintage Collection Man-At-Arms really shows off the classic design work Mattel put into this figure. The face sculpt nails that vintage look with Duncan’s determined expression, squared jawline, and that signature blue helmet with red and orange details. Anti-Eternia He-Man

The figure sports a deep black body contrasted with red armor and loincloth, showcasing the inverted colors of the heroic He-Man design. Mantenna

The figure looks wild in this New Eternia redesign! Mantenna sports his classic four-legged stance but with heavily armored blue limbs and a more segmented, insectoid texture throughout. His oversized, bulging orange eyes and gaping mouth full of fangs give him a creepy energy that really pops under the glossy red head sculpt. The armor takes on a layered design, with metallic red and gold plates across his chest and abdomen, and his blaster is his freakin eywball. I love how the box art shows him mid-blast, firing his weapon alongside the the Horde with the Horde army flying above!

Mantenna looks fantastic in motion! Here Mantenna’s spindly four-legged stance really shines, showing off how poseable his limbs are while still keeping that bug-like balance. From the front, his wide, bulbous eyes and toothy maw look alive. From the back, those flexible eyestalks stretch outward with the translucent orange effects attached, creating a dynamic mid-attack pose that adds a ton of energy. The layered armor plates catch the light beautifully, especially the details across his chest and belt.

Mantenna shows off his wild, over-the-top personality in this kooky, creature-like pose that feels straight out of a Saturday morning cartoon. With his four legs splayed out and arms raised mid-motion, he looks both menacing and hilariously unhinged like he’s about to scuttle into battle or burst into maniacal laughter.

The New Eternia Masterverse Mosquitor looks absolutely incredible in package, with his striking crimson head sculpt and sleek armored body framed by the bold New Eternia box art. The artwork perfectly captures his vampiric essence, showing him mid-attack with his proboscis ready to drain energy from his foes. Out of the box, the figure comes complete with his translucent purple wings, detailed blaster, and alternate chest plate that hints at his blood-sucking origins. Every piece of armor, from the jagged gauntlets to the segmented boots, reinforces his techno-organic look, making this version of Mosquitor feel like a true evolution of the classic Horde villain within the New Eternia mythos.

We have an exciting update for the Masterverse Vintage Collection Man-At-Arms! Walmart has just uploaded the full set of official images to their product page, giving us the most complete look yet at this incredible figure. The new images showcase the intricate detailing, vintage-inspired armor, and all of the accessories that make this version of Duncan such a faithful nod to his classic 80s counterpart.

The figure shows off a faithful recreation of Man-At-Arms in his classic vintage color scheme, complete with metallic gold armor, a blue helmet, and a fur-textured brown loincloth. His green limbs are muscular and sharply defined, and the armor has detailed tubing and sculpted bolts that bring the vintage look to life. Man At Arms Vintage Artwork

We are likely to see Man At Arms’ box art pay homage to his vintage artwork, which also teases a classic Teela as well! There is some president for Masterverse figures coming from box art teases and we are sure that a classic Teela will be on her way at some point. We are hoping that @natebaertschart continues to lend his amazing artistic skills to the box art as the iconic scene, first illustrated by Errol McCarthy illustrates a mustache-less Man At Arms scouting the hills of Eternia with Teela following behind. This is a classic card back art and the caption reads “Man At Arms and Teela scout the borders of Eternia for signs of lurking evil!.” The artwork captures the essence of the character and the overall fantasy theme of the MOTU line. Man At Arms was known as a the Heroic Master of Weapons, and was of course a member of the Heroic Warriors and He-Man’s right hand man! The original Man At Arms figure was part of the first wave of Masters of the Universe action figures introduced by Mattel and was mustache-less. It’s not until later when subsequent more modern figures were released that we saw Man At Arms with his classic Tom Selleck stache!

This illustration offers another example of McCarthy’s distinctive approach to landscape design. In this scene, Teela discreetly observes Skeletor and Beast Man, contemplating their nefarious activities from a concealed vantage point. The copse of trees in the background is particularly notable for its thoughtful design, blending stylized natural elements with the overarching tension of the moment. McCarthy’s clever arrangement of these trees adds depth and atmosphere to the composition, while subtly framing the narrative conflict between the characters.

MOTU Classics Teela

From the fur-lined shoulders to the intricate leaf details on the leotard, the sculpting is on point. Teela’s sculpted arm bands, gauntlets, and signature boots give her even more personality. While some of these parts might be reused on future figures, they’ll never look as sharp and iconic as they do on Teela. Speaking of iconic…Teela’s regular head sculpt is a showstopper! It’s hands down one of the best female faces the Four Horsemen have ever created. I’ve followed their work for years, and while their sculpts are always impressive, this Teela has a face that’s simply stunning, something you rarely see in mass production.

We now have a great look at the New Eternia Masterverse Anti-Eternia He-Man packaging, showing off both the front and back of the box in detail. On the front, the figure is displayed through the window with striking artwork along the left side, featuring Anti-Eternia He-Man facing off against the classic He-Man, which really sets the tone for the dark alternate universe storyline. The character bio reads “Anti-Eternia He-Man seeks the remains of Castle Grayskull to become the most powerful man in the multi-verse,” emphasizing his role as the “Most Evil Man in the Universe.”

The hi-res art for Anti-Eternia He-Man is beautifully integrated into the box design, wrapping around the front and side panels to create a seamless storytelling effect that flows right into the window display.
