We are so excited to bring you some additional photos of the Super7 Tiger Force Snake Eyes out of package! Huge thanks to the Baroness of Toys for these amazing action poses showing this figure out of package and looking absolutely stunning. I always loved the Tiger Force sub-team, and seeing Snake Eyes in that iconic yellow and brown tiger stripe deco is just so much fun. The poses here really show off just how dynamic this figure is, and I love how the Baroness of Toys captured the ninja commando in all his glory.

Tiger Force Snake Eyes holds an olive green machete and what appears to be a compact submachine gun, with a matching olive strap running across his torso. The Baroness of Toys did a great job posing him here, really showing off how much personality you can get out of a ReAction+ figure.

The brown holster and pouches on his belt add a nice contrast against all that yellow, and the gray joint caps at the knees and elbows break up the color scheme in a way that feels very classic G.I. Joe. I like the look of him as he’s posed with both weapons drawn.

The tiger-stripe pattern wraps cleanly around his arms and legs, with the black stripes following the contours of the sculpt. His backpack sits snug against the figure’s back, molded in a reddish-brown plastic that pairs well with the olive and yellow throughout.

The Sgt. Slaughter and Mercer GI Joe Classified Series 2-Pack gives collectors a ton of versatility when it comes to display options. With a gaggle of heavy-hitting weapons, you can gear them up for full-on battle poses or go for more classic character-driven looks. The alternate portraits allow for different expressions and moods, letting you switch between stern drill instructor intensity for Slaughter or cocky renegade swagger for Mercer. Add in the mix of accessories, and you’ve got plenty of ways to customize how they’re showcased.

Sgt. One of the standout features of Classified Series Breaker V2 is the brand-new bubble gum chewing head sculpt, and it’s a game-changer for fans of the Sunbow cartoon.

This fun and expressive look captures Breaker’s laid-back personality perfectly, calling back to one of his most memorable traits from the original animated series. The sculpt shows him mid-chew with a pink bubble that looks like it’s just about to pop, adding a whole new level of character and nostalgia to the figure.

Pictured below is his hose that connects to a completely new helmet sculpt.

The figure includes a newly tooled communications backpack with a movable antenna. His communications backpack features an integrated hose port, and while the attachment system is a bit awkward, it stays in place once fitted.

For gear, Breaker comes with a knife (with a decent paint wash) that stores in a high-mounted sheath on his web gear, and the familiar suppressed pistol seen with previous figures like Beach Head and Stalker. The accessories are where this figure truly shines. The BAT comes with an impressive and more colorful packout that sets it apart from its previous releases. Collectors will appreciate the clear chest plate, a long-requested accessory finally delivered, in both standard and battle damaged form. It also includes a battle-damaged head sculpt. All these can be stored in a backpack that attaches to the figure’s back.

The B.A.T. comes with swappable weapon arms and a purple-tipped laser cannon with a matching blast effect.

Here is a close up of his orange-tinted flamethrower with flame attachment, which looks awesome on the figure. The flamethrower was always my favorite attachment in the vintage figure.

And finally, the iconic claw attachment brings back those classic vintage feels!

The head features the classic red faceplate with side vents and silver detailing on the back, echoing both the animated and comic book versions. Yellow accents across the chest, shoulder hooks, and boots are brighter than ever, enhancing the figure’s visual punch.

The control panel on the chest is more colorful than earlier versions.

The Cobra insignia on the left arm is outlined in yellow, making it pop dramatically against the black uniform.

The new Python Patrol BAT GI Joe Super7 ReAction+ Target Exclusive comes packaged on a gorgeous Python Patrol themed GI Joe card back. You can see his full file card below. You will notice that the profile photo has been modified to reflect the cool illustration of the Cobra BAT in his Python Patrol outfit as illustrated on the card back front.

Figure Details

Let’s take a closer look at the figure details. A repaint of the Cobra BAT from Wave 1, this version has him in a red shirt, yellow accents, light grey Pythonized pants and a yellow back pack.

There are nice red and yellow paint apps on his silver robotic chest plate. He also has a cool yellow and red Cobra logo on his left shoulder.

Accessories

The Python Patrol Cobra BAT comes with a rifle, claw attachment, laser attachment and gun attachment.

He can nicely grip his rifle. You can remove both his hand to place his accessories into.

Donning the classic black, red, and gold paint app is the mainstay repaint and army builders for the GI Joe Classified Series! With the Classified Series diving into the Iron Grenadiers faction, the reds and gold are all in the right places. The gold paint apps are on point and bring out some of the detail that might get lost on an all black uniform. The gold details pop on his alternate android looking head but conspicuously absent is a black chest plate with the Iron Grenadiers logo on it, which would have been the icing on the cake.

Here is an up close shot of the Iron Grenadier Cutlass, which is a crossing of the swords with the words Iron Grenadiers running through the blades.

The extra accessories, first seen in the Arctic B.A.T., make some great packins for this version as the Iron Grenadiers need all the weaponry they can get their hands on!

Iron Grenadier BAT Reveal and Official Images

The Iron Grenadier BAT looks like something out of the Terminator franchise and the red orb between the eyes looks like he is a descendant of Hal 9000 from 2001 A Space Odyssey.

The gold weapons and attachments look super slick. The BAT also comes with an alternate red face shield and, you want to swap it out with a first release BAT, you can make it look like the cartoon version.

This is going to be a great army builder for sure!

The IG BAT is packed in the new box style and the rd background really sets the figure off!

The Iron Grenadier BAT comes with his usual packout but all in a gold paint app.

The GI Joe Classified Series team is sure getting their moneys worth with repaints of the helmets as they seem to get the default pack in for deluxe and 2-pack sets. As far as repaints goes, the helmets go along with Quarrel and Falcon’s color scheme and they actually look pretty good! They give the Night Force faction a totally different look and the helmet can be interchangeable with other figures. As far as the figure bucks go, Quarrel shares the same figure base as Retro Scarlett with some added secondary armor and a knife sheath. Falcon comes with two shoulder paldrons that use pressure to stay on his shoulders. He also uses the Range Viper’s secondary armor to give him a beefier look.

Looking at the details, both Falcon and Scarlett have the Griffen patch on their uniforms.

The head sculpt for Quarrel is pretty much inline with her vintage release with an added ear piece. Her hair sculpt has a swept back/slicked back look, which looks great on her! Falcon has an updated head sculpt, which fits the figure much better than the v1 release.

Originally, Quarrel came with a RAM Cycle for her UK Palitoy release

We can see some amazing dio shots with Falcon and Quarrel and they look amazing all geared up!

Quarrel was available in the United Kingdom and Europe in 1983 from the Palitoy toy company. She was available packaged with the Action Force Z-Force Rapid Fire Motorcycle – a repaint of the American release of the RAM. She looks amazing and it’s awesome they are doing more international variants! You can also see them with their helmets on in this cool mountain recon scene.

Surrounded by Mole Rats, Falcon and Quarrel can make quick work of them!

It’s great to see an in-hand look at the Snow Serpent and it looks like the Joe team nailed the vintage blue color. The retro cardback figures feature nods to the vintage figures but conspicuously missing are a few accessories that Hasbro should have made for this figure. First, the classic tennis racket snow shoes would have made this figure outstanding as those were the type of shoes that the vintage figure came with. Second, another oversight is the large gray rocket with stand. Other than that, the retro cardback Snow Serpent is a great addition to the collection if you missed out on the deluxe release.

1970’s Adventure Team

Hasbro also followed up on these in the 1970’s with the GI Joe Adventure Team. Based on Land, Sea and Air, Hasbro had rereleased them as a Walmart exclusive in 2006, and they included flocked hair and beards! This line has so much history and heritage in the GI Joe line, and it is so exciting to them coming back in yet another new iteration. I (The Toy Sorceress) was lucky enough to acquire the Land, Sea and Air Adventurers to my personal collection, so enjoy the photos below:

Doc has a PhD from an Ivy League university, completed Airborne School, Mountaineering School, the Desert Training Unit, and he’s a chaplain’s assistant. He is an indispensible memeber of the GI Joe team! He comes packed with some rad accessories, and everything he needs to tend to the sick or injuried Joes! I love his green sunglasses and facial expressions on his alternate head sculpts! This is one fantastic figure!

You can see that he has a red cross medical logo on each of his shoulders.

Its so fun to pose Doc with his incredible included accessories. He looks so good holding his pistol and walkie talkie. And those alternate white gloved hands look great for him to work with his medical kit!

Doc likes to relax by reading a comic book, or practicing launching his missiles!

Figure and Packout Details

Airborne comes in the v2 GI Joe Classified Series window display box and if you watched the GI Joe Classified Series Leap Day FanStream, they have taken a step backwards in box design. Lucky for Airborne, this classic figure made it before the latest box design iteration. Airborne comes with a gaggle of accessories so you can change up his look in many different ways.

The paint app on the uniform is a nod to his vintage figure, with updated styling and more layered look! The weapons and accessories are made to layer on top of each other, which makes for great displayability. For example, you can pose him with his helmet and weapon if you prefer a much simpler look.

As he comes with removable goggles, you can throw them on his face and detach the green goggles from his helmet! He also comes with sidearm and a knife for those action poses!

Airborne looks amazing standing at attention and from all angles!

You can also attach his optics to his helmet for an even cooler look! Finally, his tactical shovel is sculpted onto to his brown backpack!

Airborne comes with a great loadout, including an SMG with a removable suppressor, very cool optics, and goggles, helmet.

His backpack also has a sculpted tactical shovel and a cool patch on his left arm.

Here is how he looks and they also said he has a darker skin tone, harkening back to his Navajo roots plus the greens are called rifle greens, which are the same color as the Dragonfly.

We saw a leaked image of Airborne in box so we expected to see him go up for preorder!

Around the same time we got wind of the GI Joe Classified Series Duke and Scarlett Retro Cardback leaks, we also saw a fully produced and in-box image of Airborne amongst other figures like Metal Head and the recently leaked Big Boa figure. Airborne has only been digital render revealed so it’s amazing to see him in-box! The photo isn’t that great but we can clearly see Airborne in the upper right corner of the image below. We are also thrilled that the window display packaging is back and it looks like the Airborne figure came out really nicely! The illustration in the lower right corner of the box shows him with his helmet on and how is packout is arranged.

According to gi_shark, this looks to be the lower legs of the forthcoming Airborne figure.

Airborne Digital Render Reveal

Airborne is in his classic O-Ring color scheme. The optics can plug onto his helmet. He is really geared up with a layered look to his helmet and gear. Airborne will be released before the Dragonfly.. He is the G.I. Joe Team’s helicopter assault trooper and debuted in 1983. It’s super cool to finally see his digital render to envision what a Classified Series figure of Airborne would look like. His real name is Franklin E. Talltree, and his rank is that of sergeant E-5. Airborne was born in a Navajo Reservation in Arizona. His primary military specialty is an airborne infantryman, while as his secondary military specialty he is a helicopter gunship gunner.

Delta-17 Backstory

The Delta-17 action figure line, the next evolution in the 3.75” O-ring retro-stylized military action figure range, reimagined in modern times! The Delta-17 line is described as a true-blue military action figure line with a splash of the incredible. Tier-1 Operatives take on a Samurai-themed leader, his army of ninja-based androids, and his hired mercenaries. These figures will be compatible in scale to your GI Joe O-Ring figures.

Tier 1 operators are assembled from around the world, unified in a clandestine, black ops group. The objective: to confront the threat of a new, militaristic cabal operating in the shadows. This enigmatic new enemy appears to function with illegal support and funding from our very own, apparently legit governmental organizations. As such, Delta-17’s entire existence and missions are conducted off the books. As a tier 1 special task force, their day to day assignment is the confrontation and destruction of this new dark state cabal and its military support assets. For now, little is known about this new cabal and its associated army.

Unofficially, they are known in the underground circles as the Dark Shadows, with an undisclosed base of operations off the coast of Japan. They are believed to be tied to various mercenary factions to assist them, the origins and alliances of which are under ongoing scrutiny by Delta-17 and the military intelligence group that is a direct support element to D17. In the end, few can be trusted, no missions will be recorded. History will have no knowledge of what has or will transpire here. The fight between Delta-17 and its mysterious enemy begins and ends… in the shadows.

This first wave of Delta-17 figures will consist of 11 unique o-ring figures and the 12th figure is different in ethnicity, which is great because it is an army builder! The figure line as 3 different Factions, which we explore below so you can get a sense of how the backstory relates to their characters and bios! The Delta-17 figure line has three factions that is made of up the Retrograd, Delta-17, and Dark Shadows forces!

Retrograd Faction

Retrograd is a mercenary faction of disgruntled Spetsnaz members, handpicked by their leader Death Sparrow.

Death Sparrow

Death Sparrow is the commander of Retrograd, a mercenary army that has been hired to be the primary task force for missions on behalf of the “Dark Shadows”. Packaged on a beautiful thick illustrated card back, the front of the package includes an illustration of Death Sparrow, while the back includes a cross sell of the characters images and a bio card for Death Sparrow.

Death Sparrow – Enemy Retrograd Leader

Death Sparrow is the commander of Retrograd, a mercenary army that has been hired to be the primary task force for missions on behalf of the “Dark Shadows”.

Death Sparrow has lived a hard life and it exudes from her like heat from a fire. She is not to be trifled with, nor underestimated. She is violent, determined and highly intelligent.

Joining the army at a young age, she was quickly transferred to a GRU Spetsnaz field unit, where her natural leadership abilities and fiery spirit gained her notoriety within their ranks.

Retrograd consists primarily of disgruntled Spetsnaz members, many of whom were handpicked by Death Sparrow herself.

Death Sparrow directly answers to Shadow Dragon, leader of the Dark Shadows.

Death Sparrow looks amazing and her face sculpt turned out beautifully! She is a throwback to how things were done in the Soviet Union in the past, which is evidenced by her PPSh-41, a Soviet submachine gun with a drum ammunition feed. I love her black and brown color scheme as it gives her a very Russian look. Her backpack has a ton of pockets sculpted into it and even a flash light!

All the sculpted web gear and weapons holsters look great in the brown color against her black outfit! Her brown boots are a beautiful complement to the brown webbing. She also has a really nice logo Retrograd tampo’d on her right shoulder, got to say a really nice touch!

Thunder Battalion

Members of the Retrograd, a mercenary army; Thunder Battalion operate under the direct command of Death Sparrow. The package has the accessories very nicely laid out over the figure, and you can see all the incredible accessories that this mercenary comes with!

Thunder Battalion – Enemy Infantry

Recruited from various special operations units across Russia, members of the Spetsnaz Thunder Battalion operate under the direct command of Death Sparrow.

The Thunder Battalion ranks soon began to swell with new members as the word spread throughout the former Soviet empire of a mercenary unit that was paying better, had great food and benefits. Most importantly, this unit offered adventure and glory in the form of excessive violence and unbridled combat.

The Thunder Battalion are trained in multiple specialties ranging from special reconnaissance to direct rapid action attacks.

All members are familiar with weapons handling, infiltration, escape/evasion techniques, counter-terrorism, hand-to-hand combat, emergency medical training, explosives and demolition, as well as alpine mountaineering.

The Thunder Battalion figure came out fabulous! The detail on his outfit, and the amount of gear he comes packed with will make this figure an army building favorite of the line! I love how his webbing and ammo pouches are painted in grey with touches of red.

Here you can see the various display options that the 2 different style helmets give you. He comes with one with an open slot and one closed red slot helmets.

He comes packed with 2 helmets, a backpack and a machine gun and a figure stand. His black backpack even has a rope sculpted into it and painted grey.

Shepard

Shepard is the Delta-17 Squad Leader. His last posting was as a member of the US Army Delta Force before being personally selected to lead Delta-17.

Shepherd’s whole adult life has been about the military. Joining the Army at the age of 18 and soon transferring to the Rangers, his last posting was as a member of the US Army Delta Force before being personally selected to lead Delta-17.

Shepherd is brave, bold and task oriented. He’s exactly as a field commander should be, and then some.

Shepard’s tampo on his face mask came out great! The colors of red and black against each other are a great contrast and really pop!

I really like the contrast between his black outfit and his army green flak jacket and leg pouches. He also has touches of red and yellow accents on his leg pouches that were a really nice touch. I also love his yellow scarf, as it is a nice accent to his outfit.

He comes with 2 rifles, a backpack, figure stand and nigh vision googles that attach to his helmet.

Preacher

Preacher is the Delta-17 Marksman. Preacher gets his nickname from a missionary stint he did in the Congo. Just love that illustration of Preacher on the front of his card back.

Preacher – Delta 17 Marksman

Name: Clive Williams
Birthplace: Chicago, Ill

Preacher is a kind and loving soul, but don’t mistake his good nature for weakness. 
Preacher gets his nickname from a missionary stint he did in the Congo. While assisting the construction of an orphanage when it came under attack, he quickly acquired an AK off of a rebel and destroyed the entire rebel squad single-handedly.

He still sends part of his pay over to the orphanage so they can afford armed security.
Preacher never abandoned his faith. He simply chose to refine it.

Changing career paths, he joined the Marines and went on to become a member of the Marine Forces Reconnaissance unit, specializing as marksman/sniper.

They did a fantastic job of really landing that camo pattern on his pants! I also really love the brown chest strap full of pouches! He comes with a large brown backpack that allows you to stow both his rifles on it as well, one on each side. He also includes a figure stand.

His marksman rifle is huge and comes with ha bipod stand as well.

Rooster

Rooster is in charge of comms and reconnaissance missions for Delta-17. He was nicknamed Rooster by his colleagues for his iconic haircut (which he wears as a hat-tip to his Native American heritage) and his ironic silent nature.

Shepard – Delta 17 Comms/Recon

Rooster rarely speaks, but when he does, you best listen.

As a young teenager, Rooster was sent out on a “spirit quest” to enter manhood.

Two years later he sent a postcard from Iraq. He had walked so far and lived off the land so long, he didn’t want to go back. Instead, he joined the army, and joined the Rangers. 

Rooster was famous in his town for long walks in the bush and would often return weeks later with enough smoked game to feed many people in his village.

Rooster’s face camo looks incredible! I love his overall green camo color scheme as it really seems to suit this character. He has such a classic O-ring figure look, and my fav accessory of this line has got to be his cell phone comm device! And you will notice how well he holds it too!

His large backpack comes with a removeable comms device and an antenna. They even pack 2 antennas in the package just in case! He also comes with a large rifle as well.

Leonidas

Leonidas is the Warrant Officer for Delta-17. Joining the Canadian army right out of high school, Leonitus soon volunteered for the selection process with Canada’s premier special forces unit: JTF2. I love that he comes with his pet Doberman pincher! His illustration looks really cute too!

Leondias – Delta 17 Squad 21C

Delta-17 affords him the freedom of a casual attire, laid back attitude, and the ability to bring his pet with him everywhere, including the battlefield, provided that mission objectives are not hindered. 

Regardless of his unique and relaxed nature, his instincts and passion as a soldier remain sharp. He is highly respected as a cornerstone member of Delta-17.

Leondias and his pet companion are super impressive, especially the tampo’d tattoos all over Leondias’ arms! The teal color on his shirt and hat are the standout of this wave! I love that his doggy and his bowl both attaches to his backpack!

Kestral

Kestral, Female Grenadier for Delta-17, she is the youngest member, but her age and experience are not to be underestimated.

Kestrel is the youngest member of Delta-17, but her age and experience are not to be underestimated.

Born on a small farm in Poland, Kestrel spent most of her childhood outdoors, learning survival skills, hunting and exploring the surrounding forests. Her uncle was an Air Force General in Warsaw, and taught her as a teenager to fly small planes and helicopters.

Naturally, she enlisted in the military as soon as she was eligible, and proceeded to join the Polish special forces unit known as J.W. Grom. 

Tasked with an undercover operation to infiltrate Retrograd, her mission was compromised when she chose to save members of Delta-17 from certain death. 

As a sub-specialty, Kestrel has become Delta-17’s unofficial translator, being fluent in several languages, including Russian and English.

Krestral has a very classic A Real American Hero look to her, and they really did a great job on her face sculpt. I also really love her red lips and her grey beret! SHe comes packed with a large rifle, backpack, figure stand and a knife.

Delta Squad

Delta Squad infantry troopers are selected from Tier 1 and Tier 2 special operations units from all branches of the military.

The Infantry Trooper makes a wonderful army builder figure, and as such comes in both light and dark skin tones so you can have variety in your display!

Delta Squad – Delta 17 Infantry

Delta Squad infantry troopers are selected from Tier 1 and Tier 2 special operations units from all branches of the military. Some members are brought in from international spec ops units to assist Delta-17 on select missions.

Delta Squad is a standby unit consisting of 100 active members. Hundreds more have been fully trained, but reside with their regular units until needed.

Positioned across the globe in small units, Delta Squad is able to mobilize on short notice and assist Delta-17 when required.

Members are cross-trained in the following: advanced combat training, escape/evasion, survival skills, and anti-terrorist maneuvers while maintaining a high level of physical fitness.

Shadow Dragon is going to become the star of the entire wave and they nailed it with his samurai warrior look and the chef’s kiss is that soft goods cape! He is my favorite of these 12 figures because he looks so cool and comes with a soft goods cape that allows you to stow his swords on his back.

He comes with 2 swords and a rifle. His soft goods cape is also removeable.

Jaguar

Jaguar is second in command of the Dark Shadows, answering only to Shadow Dragon. He is often referred to as “the Dragon’s cold right hand”.

His identity is unknown – on paper, he does not exist. He has never removed his goggles or face mask, nor has he ever spoken out loud in public. He prefers to whisper over the radio or directly in the ear of Shadow Dragon. He even uses a small handheld telegraph device to send Morse code messages to HQ.

By trade, Jaguar specializes as a hidden assassin, hand to hand combat expert, tracker, and has parkour skills that would put the most fleet-footed athletes to shame. 

Specializing in CQB warfare and armed with dual baton-swords as well as a sniper rifle, he is a high level threat to Delta-17. He is Shadow Dragon’s most effective and dependable living weapon.

The ”Okami” (Japanese for “wolf” or “wolves”) are a seemingly limitless army of robot-ninja warriors built in Shadow Dragon’s secret hidden factory/base.

The ”Okami” (Japanese for “wolf” or “wolves”) are a seemingly limitless army of robot-ninja warriors built in Shadow Dragon’s secret hidden factory/base.

The Okami robots are unlike anything seen so far. They are extremely fast, light, agile and have no fear of personal injury. They can leap up to ten feet in the air, throw knives from their chest bandolier with precision, and engage multiple enemies with ease.

The antenna on their heads is where they receive commands from Shadow Dragon or another unit leader. The Okami are equipped with both night vision and thermal optics.

Okami, the enemy robot ninjas will become the B.A.T army builders of this line. With their interchangeable arm cannon parts, they are sure to be a hit with collectors! He comes jam packed with a ton of awesome accessories. Both hands on the Okami can be removed and replaced with smaller hand-swords or a sub-machine gun. He is also Equipped with a two-part backpack that can stow all gear, including the swappable hands. The backpack can be used in the “light attack mode”, stowing only the two long swords and gun, OR it can be used in the “full carry mode”, where both backpack parts are attached and loaded up with all the accessories.

Shockwave looks amazing in his bright blue digital camo gear, matching hat, and a very detailed dark blue flack jacket. With tons of pockets, pouches, and holsters, he has a very cool look to him. Not a repaint of Beach Head, but you can see that he has an all new face sculpt and torso design.

Packaging

The GI Joe Classified Series Shockwave comes packed in the same windowless packaging as the previous waves. With stunning artwork of him in a cliff side scene with what looks to be a train crossing a bridge but starting to explode! You can also see his pack out illustrated as well. The back shows the height of the figures, included accessories and some cool features. Here they point out his cool bullet pouch on his chest and his face sculpt with removeable hat.

The right side of the box has an illustration of a close up of Shockwave’s face. The left side shows he is number 105, with a QR code to scan for his file card info.

Packed inside is Shockwave with the same side illustration done in black and white behind the strapped in figure. He also includes a faux footlocker with his accessories in it. Here we can see the included accessories that Shockwave comes with and his illustrated backdrop. He includes his removeable hat, two semi automatic pistols with ammo clips, two knives, a night stick and a large S.W.A.T shield.

Here we get a great look at Shockwave from all four sides. You can see his vintage inspired outfit complete with blue digital camo, flack jacket and matching camo hat. So let’s take a closer look at Shockwave in more detail below.

Head

Taking a look at Shockwave’s face sculpt, you can see how they gave him a brand new sculpt and not just a reuse of Beach

I really like how they did his eyes, eyebrows because they have a lot of expression on them since you can’t see the rest of his face.

You can also display him without his hat and he looks cool that way as well. You will notice the nice, ripped detail of his ski cap face mask It looks very similar to that of Beach Head but in blue.

Chest

Shockwave is wearing a dark blue flack jacket, but it looks more like an 80’s puffer vest. It has several pockets on the front side of it, a knife sheath, and a bullet pocket as well. On his left shoulder is the Joe communicator device.

On back side you will see the ribs of his puffer flack jacket and he also has a peg hole in his back for a backpack, even though he didn’t come with one.

Arms

His arms are in his blue digital camo sleeves all the way down to his hands, He has a small pocket on each side of his shoulders. The ends of his sleeves have a nice ribbed design as well. He is wearing fingerless black gloves.

Legs

Shockwave is wearing blue camo pants with the same digital camo design as on his shirt. He has matching gun holsters on each of his hips. He has black knee pads and black boots with shin guards and boot straps. He also has a blue knife sheath on his left ankle.

Shockwave ARAH Vintage Figure

I really loved this version of Shockwave, there was always something so cool about his digital blue camo design that intrigued me. He was originally released in the A Real American Hero line in 1988. Being a later release, he came on the digital burst explosion card back. He came packed with a back pack, pistol, knife and rifle with silencer.

He was later repainted and released with Lightfoot as part of the Night Force in in 1989. Then another version of Shockwave followed in 1992 as part of the Drug Elimination Force line. A 25th Anniversary version was released in 2008 in a two pack with Destro, but he was renamed Shockblast due to licensing issues.

Finally another version was released in 2009 in yet another two pack, this time with Night Creeper as part of the Rise of Cobra line.

General Hawk looks incredible with the worn details on his leather jacket and the intricate design of his flight wings, name tag, and metals. He also has some cool patches on his shoulders and the fur lined collar is the chef’s kiss! He even has the zippers down the middle and soft lined edges on the ends of his sleeves just like a real bomber jacket.

Packaging

The GI Joe Classified Series General Hawk comes packed in the same windowless packaging as the previous waves. With stunning artwork of him in a battle scene with the GI Joe Headquarters behind him. There are also several teases on this artwork. If you look carefully there is the V1 version of General Hawk flying high and a Cobra Stun going up against a Triple T vehicle in the background! You can also see his pack out illustrated as well. The back shows the height of the figures, included accessories and some cool features. Here they point out his shoulder patch and helmet with googles.

Here we get a great look at General Hawk from all four sides. You can see his vintage inspired outfit complete with Bomber Jacket and camo pants. So let’s take a closer look at General Hawk in more detail below.

Head

Taking a look at General Hawk’s face sculpt, you can see how they gave him a very tough guy, aged look with that little hint of grey in his hair. Some would say that he looks alittle like Dan Larsen, LOL

I really like how they did his eyes, eyebrows and lips. The detailed sculpt in his furrowed brow looks great as well.

You can also display General Hawk with his helmet on. And you can add his google around his helmet as well. He has a classic green army helmet with a star in the front and two straps hanging down on the either side.

Chest

General Hawk’s torso design is stunning as he is dressed in a stunning leather bomber jacket. The jacket has weathering on it and a ton of detail. He has a zipper down the middle, a couple zippered pockets and some lower front pockets. He also has some wings and his name “Abernathy” on the his right chest. On his left chest area he has his metals, and pinned wings. His bomber jacket is complete with a fur lined collar and his army shirt collars peeking out from underneath at his neck line. He has a black gun holster strapped to his chest and it has some nice faux leather detail.

Arms

His arms are clad in his leather jacket sleeves. On his right shoulder is a GI Joe tan star logo patch. In his left shoulder he has an American flag patch. Both look as if they are made of a tan colored leather. His sleeves cuffs are lined like a real jacket. He is wearing black gloves on his hands.

Legs

Hawk is wearing green camo pants and the camo design looks excellent! He has on a series of belts. One belt for his pants and the second belt is connected to his gun holster that sits at his right hip. He is also wearing nice black boots with boot straps molded into them. And you will also notice that his pants are tucked into his boots, a very nice detail!

Hawk ARAH Vintage Figure

This version of Hawk has always been my favorite, with his vibrant green removeable helmet, leather jacket and green camo pants, he was the perfect GI Joe figure!

Released in 1986, Hawk was named just “Hawk” instead of “General Hawk” which was fine with me as that is what his fellow Joes called him. There was a wonderful illustration of him on the card back, and he came with a backpack and a pistol.

He had another pistol in a holster molded on his chest and one molded onto his right hip. He dawned a leather bomber jacket and bright green camo pants. He also had a knife molded onto his left ankle.

Package Art Teases

The Joe team was on ? during Hasbro Pulse Con 2023 as they revealed some amazing GI Joe Classified Series figures! Along with a gaggle of digital render reveals, they showed off the next wave of GI Joe Classified Series figures, which included General Hawk. The Joe team has been taking a page out of the Mattel Masters of the Universe Origins book and teasing possible figures and vehicles that might be coming to the GI Joe Classified Series. We first saw these types of teases on Snow Job’s box with the Artic BAT and we’ve seen some subsequent teases of other figures like the Python Patrol Crimson Guard, who was teased on Bazooka’s box. General Hawk’s box is the latest tease and this time its a hattrick of future teases, which include General Hawk Version 1 (you might be scratching your head at this point but we’ll get to that in a bit), the Triple T, and the Cobra STUN!

Hawk Version 1 (1991)

According to YoJoe, The GI Joe Classified Series version of General Hawk that we know today, was just called Hawk in the vintage line until 1991, where he became General Hawk (version 1). Although he is the 3rd version of Hawk (4 if you count Wave 1.5), it was great to see a tease of this figure on the box for the GI Joe Classified Series General Hawk.

We can see a pixilated image of a soldier with a jet pack with wings flying above in the same color scheme that General Hawk (1991)! This is a very cool homage to the vintage figure and a surprise as the year that this version of General Hawk came out, the GI Joe line was well on its way to going off the rails with neon and outrageous figure designs.

This version of Hawk is actually quite good for the time! In 1991, Hawk becomes a commander in a flight suit and jet pack. From this point forward, he was renamed as General Hawk. His file card reads:

“As a rule, General Officers direct battle from the safety of the rear echelons, but the commander of a tightly coordinated, rapid deployment force like the G.I. Joe Team has to be right on top of the action at all times, ready to make split-second decisions on tactical developments as they happen. The combination of jet pack and communications helmet allows HAWK to survey the progress of battle as well as keep in constant radio contact with all elements of his command!

“Some Generals like to come out and give a nice speech before a fight, full of ‘go-get-’em’ and ‘yay-team’, and that’s the last you see of them until the dust settles and they’re back up from the rear again, handing out medals and trying to look as battle-weary as they can in starched fatigues. When Hawk takes you into a hairy situation, he’s usually in FRONT of you yelling, ‘Follow me!'””

His figure has brown hair, light brown face straps, light green flight suit with light brown helmet support, straps, gloves, and boots and to top it all of, yellow stripes on arms, side, and legs!

Triple T

The Triple T is the personal vehicle of Sgt. Slaughter. A tankette with white armor, and black tracks, armed with two guns on the section behind the drivers seat. The Triple T was released in 1986 and came with a Sgt. Slaughter figure and Hasbro must have had this in mind when they made the GI Joe Classified Series Sgt. Slaughter as this version of him has already been released. The Triple T, funny enough, stands for Tag Team Terminator and it has foot pegs for other Joes to ride in alongside the Sarge in battle.

It was seen in several episodes of the Sunbow cartoon with the Sarge piloting his Triple T and charging into battle against Cobra!

Triple T from Mark2Design

This vehicle is the exact size and form factor to make an amazing GI Joe Classified Series small vehicle. You can see Storm Shadow getting ready to lay waste to the Triple T with his mad Ninja skills!

One of cooler apsects of this custom Triple T is that the treads actually roll, as demonstrated in the video below:

Cobra STUN

The Cobra STUN was one of the coolest vehicles in Cobra’s aresenal! The SSTUN is a high-speed Cobra vehicle used for patrolling and pursuit. According to JoePedia, “A derivative has been upgraded with stealth capabilities, which is used by the Python Patrol. It has a 4-man crew and weighs 4.2 tons fully loaded. The vehicle has a maximum road speed of 75 mph, a maximum cross-country speed of 44 mph, and a maximum range of 340 miles.”

Now that the GI Joe Classified Series is making small vehicle repaints in Python Patrol, like the Cobra Fight Pod, the STUN lend itself to this repaint. Released in 1989, the Python Patrol STUN made a fashion statement in the Cobra vehicle line.

To get a feel for how large this vehicle could be, we came across a custom 3D printed GI Joe Classified Series Cobra STUN on YouTube.

The STUN also makes a perfect candidate for the GI Joe Classified Series because it is really not that large of a vehicle. It can fir the 6″ figures nicely and there is room for friends to ride along!

We can also get a sense of the must have details on the vehicle like making numerous foot pegs so other Cobra troops can ride into battle as well as the Cobra logos on the wheels. This particular custom has a Viper manning the rear blaster and he looks great!

Python Patrol Copperhead looks right at home battling through the jungles of your backyard! I just love how his colors are set off with the vibrant colors of his outfit against the bright greens of the foliage around him!

Packaging

The GI Joe Classified Series Python Patrol Copperhead comes packed in the same windowless packaging as the previous waves. With stunning artwork of him in a jungle scene with a pyramid and gecko joing the scene. You can also see his pack out illustrated as well. The back shows the height of the figures, included accessories and some cool features. Here they point out his Python Patrol chest insignia and beautiful skull and cross bones gold belt buckle.

The right side of the box has an illustration of a close up of Python Patrol Copperhead’s face. The left side shows he is number 96, with a QR code to scan for his file card info.

Packed inside is Python Patrol Copperhead with the same side illustration done in black and white behind the strapped in figure. He also includes a faux footlocker with his accessories in it.

Here we can see the included accessories that Python Patrol Copperhead comes with and his illustrated backdrop. He includes a small pistol, larger pistol with sight scope, a back pack to stow the large pistol and a huge machete!

Python Patrol Copperhead up close and personal

Here we get a great look at Python Patrol Copperhead from all four sides. You can see his bright vintage inspired color scheme throughout. He has various holsters, web gear and a cool face mask which we will get into further detail below.

Head

Taking a look at Python Patrol Copperhead’s face sculpt, you can see it’s the same design the first version but with Python Patrol coloring.

He is wearing a yellow helmet with black accents, a black face mask and red breather tube. They did a great job with those piercing eyes as that’s the only part of his face you can see above his mask.

Chest

His chest design is inspired by the vintage Python Patrol Copperhead figure. He has a black neck, and Python Patrol green shirt with long sleeves that have the yellow python cross pattern on them. He has a black tank top on and is wearing red and black holster on his chest with a nice red pocket. The stand out has got to be that large Python Patrol logo which is beautifully tapo’d on his chest.

Arms

His arms are the same Python Patrol green shirt color with long sleeves with the yellow python cross pattern on them. He has on black gloves with red accents on the top of his hands and is wearing the same black arms bands as the first release.

Waist

Python Patrol Copperhead has a multilayered black belt with a stunning gold skull and cross bones belt buckle. This is the same belt buckle as the first version release, but in gold. He also has on that crotch guard in black (yes I said crotch LOL)

On the left side of his belt he has a red holster for his machete.

Legs

His legs are the same design as the first version, except they are now a green color that match his shirt, with yellow inner stripes. He has a black gun holster on his right leg, and black patches on both his hips. He is also wearing the same black boots as the first version. This figure is incredible, but the only criticism I have is that his legs did not have the yellow cross hatch design on them like his shirt, as the vintage figure had it on both his torso and legs. Maybe they thought it would be too much competing colors but I think it would have looked great.

Accessories

Python Patrol Copperhead’s accessories include

• small pistol
• larger pistol with sight scope
• backpack to stow the large pistol
• machete!

The backpack has some nice paint apps on the tips of the bullets, and I love how his large rifle is gold colored. It goes great with his Python Patrol color scheme. You will also notice that his machete has some rusting details on it.

Python Patrol Copperhead Vintage Figure

This version of Copperhead has always been my favorite, with his vibrant colors and python cross hatch design. Pictured to the right is my personal vintage Copperhead, and he has always been the quintessential version of Copperhead in my head cannon rather than his V1 version.

Figure Comparison

What a difference a repaint makes in making the same figure look totally different! You can see the Python Patrol color scheme on this new version of Copperhead really sets him off from the first version. The first version of Copperhead has a green helmet with lime green accents. Where as the Python Patrol version has a yellow helmet with black accents and a red breather. The V1 version is wearing a sleeveless tank top with a huge silver Cobra logo on his chest. Where as the Python Patrol version has a black turtle neck with green python patterned shirt with long sleeves and black gloves. He is also wearing a black tank top with that large Python Patrol insignia to the left side of his chest. They both have the same belt design, but the PP version has a gold colored belt buckle, where as the V1 version is silver colored. They both have green pants on. But a the V1 is a darker green color that matches the rest of his outfit, with lime green inner stripes and matching hip pockets. Where the PP version is that PP lime green with yellow stripes and black hip pockets. Their boots are both the same. Their accessories are the same, but the PP version’s large pistol is gold color rather than the V1 version’s silver pistol. Plus the PP version’s machete has rusting color on his machete, and the V1 version does not.

The Joe Team is famous for producing back to back repaints of figures, and now vehicles, and the Python Patrol Tele-Viper and Flight Pod (Trubble Bubble} is no exception. Given that this was one of my favorite toys to play with as a kid, I am not complaining! Also. the Python Patrol version of this figure and small form factor vehicle was $10 less than the original release. The Python Patrol is an elite unit within Cobra that have special uniforms that mask their presence to electronic detection systems. This is still a cool concept to this day and given that the Tele-Viper’s are Cobra’s official Radio Telecommunications Operators (RTO), it makes this version even cooler!

Box Design

The Python Patrol Tele-Viper and Flight Pod comes in the windowless display packaging with a cool scene of the PP Trubble Bubbles taking flight. on the back of the box you can see the details and the amazing packout!

The Tele-Viper is number 98 in the series and we can see an up close illustration of the Tele-Viper with the snarled look on this face as he clutches his Scanner.

Figure Details

They were first introduced in 1989 in the vintage GI Joe vintage line, I’ve always bee a fan of these repaints and this figure defiantly brings back all of the feels. As their vintage file card bio reads, “They carry a standard modular radio pack that contains as a main unit a VHF transceiver equipped with an automatic frequency hopper, a crypto unit and passive jamming and anti-jamming devices. The Tele-Viper helmet contains high resolution earphones with overload dampers and two sets of voice actuated microphones. The interior of the helmet offers and alternative LED readout triggered through the optional computer pack. Optional transmission modes include microwave beam and laser – Both available as add-ons to the basic pack.” They are also decked out in a flashy taxi cab yellow uniform with gray vest and pants.

From the side, you can see how the comms device wraps all the way around the head and we get a sneak peak at the cool Python Patrol logo on the left arm.

The head sculpt comes in three flavors, with the version below coming packed and attached to the body once you open the box

The two other versions are shown below and give you plenty of display options!

The chest vest has a nice crosshatch patter design that is present on the upper part of the chest and back. It also has two pouches in front and the plastic has folds and creases in it, which makes it feel like real clothing.

The arm sculpts are symmetrical in design but asymmetrical in aesthetic as the Tele-Viper has a very cool comms device on his right forearm and an even cooler Python Patrol logo on his left arm.

He also has the classic Python Patrol crosshatch design on the pants with a burgundy red utility belt!

Weapons and Accessories

The Python Patrol Tele-Viper as a very cool packout, which is the same as the version 1 release. He comes with two alternate heads, the comms backpack, his Scanner, and burgundy colored hose.

The comms backpack and Scanner definitely remind me of the vintage figure in form and function! I love the burgundy hose as it ties in those colors very nicely!

First Release Comparisons

Given that the Python Patrol Tele-Viper is a repaint of the standard version we just got a few months ago, there will be some small differences in the paint app! For example, the first release Tele-Viper came in the classic navy blue and purple uniform. You can even see that some of the paint apps on the first release are not present on the PP Tele-Viper’s backpack.

The only difference in the paint app for the head sculpts are the taxi cab yellow hemet and the red readout goggles, which give the Tele-Viper a cool heads u p display inside the helmet.

The other difference is that the standard release comes with a red Cobra logo on th shoulder and purple buttons on the comms backpack.

Trubble Bubble

The Python Patrol Trubble Bubble is a very cool repaint and I know that this will not be everyone’s cup of tea but the Flight Pod looks amazing in these colors.

The engines have the Python Patrol branding and the missiles are yellow because…why not!? The silver crosshatch design is also present on both sides of the Flight Pod, which goes along beautifully with the rest of the color scheme.

The seatbelt is also colored in the taxi cab yellow and the cockpit controls are also teal with some yellow accents.

First Release Comparisons

Give that this is a direct repaint of the first release, there are major differences in the paint application in the Python Patrol version. For example, the Python Patrol version has more of an intricate paint app and overall aesthetic when compared with the first release as that version harkens back to the vintage design.

Much of detail is lost with the black plastic but the turbines in the engines are set off in that tax cab yellow, which adds some flair to the Trubble Bubble.

The major difference in both Flight Pods are the missile colors and the branding that you can see on both the Python Patrol version and the first release. The Python Patrol logo is set off in yellow, making it very easy to read.

No matter how you display your Tele-Viper, he will look amazing next to the Trubble Bubble.

The full helmet gives a great look to the figure as you can’t see the face, which makes it great for army building your Cobra army.

If you have the first release, you can play around with the display! For example, I have the first release version attempting to arm the Flight Pod with a missile.

I am choosing to display the figure in his vintage, classic form!

The main difference in the vintage figure paint app is the crosshatch design flowing into the uniform on the upper body, which is not present in the GI Joe Classified Series verison.
