By the power of Grayskull! I have been waiting for this one, and now that he’s finally here in hand, I can tell you the excitement is absolutely real. The Masters of the Universe Chronicles He-Man action figure from Mattel is here to celebrate the upcoming 2026 live action Masters of the Universe film, and he is gorgeous. For those of us who grew up with He-Man, whether it was the original Filmation cartoon, the 200x series, or even the beloved 1987 Dolph Lundgren movie, every new iteration of the Most Powerful Man in the Universe feels like a homecoming. This time around, the figure captures the likeness of actor Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, and seeing a fresh face carry the mantle of Prince Adam into a new era is genuinely thrilling. So let’s take a look at the Masters of the Universe Chronicles He-Man in-hand review! At 6.5 inches, he fits right in with that sweet spot scale that collectors love to display. The sculpt features movie-accurate armor and weapons, and that 30 points of articulation gives you plenty of room to pose him in all kinds of dramatic stances. He comes with the iconic Power Sword (or Sword of Power, depending on which corner of the fandom you call home) and an alternate set of hands so you can switch up his grip and get creative with your posing. The packaging on this one is also worth mentioning. Mattel went with a deluxe window box design that honestly looks fantastic whether you’re an opener or a keep-it-sealed collector. It’s the kind of presentation that makes you pause before you tear into it. We want to give a huge thanks to Big Bad Toy Store for sending us this Masters of the Universe Chronicles He-Man for review, and if he has been on your must have list, you can still grab him now at Big Bad Toy Store.

Packaging

The packaging features a dark, cosmic-themed box design with a painted portrait of actor Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man on the right side, showing him in his silver chest armor with a serious, determined expression. The Power Sword is secured in the tray beside the figure, its silver blade and crossguard catching the light nicely against the deep red and black backdrop artwork.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 1

The back of the packaging features a dark, starfield-tinged design with artwork of He-Man holding the Power Sword aloft, standing on a volcanic rock surface bathed in orange and red lava light. Two inset photos on the right show the figure in different action poses, giving a good sense of the 30 points of articulation and the range of display options.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 2

The opposite side panel showcases artwork of both He-Man and Skeletor flanking the Power Sword, with Skeletor’s skull face rendered in a menacing purple hood and red-eyed glare that contrasts nicely against He-Man’s more grounded, human portrait. The cosmic background shifts into deep purples and magentas on this side, with scattered star particles and an arcing energy trail that ties the two rivals together compositionally. This showcases the good vs. evil theme of the packaging with the two figures pitted against each other!

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 4

The side panel features a clear window cutout near the top, offering a peek at the figure’s blonde hair and shoulder armor through the plastic tray. Below, a painted portrait shows He-Man in his silver chest armor against a warm orange and red Eternian landscape, matching the cinematic tone of the front artwork.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 3

He-Man sits in the open packaging tray with his dark brown leather-look loincloth, matching wrist guards, and tall boots all showing off a weathered, textured sculpt. An alternate pair of fisted hands is packed in the tray beside his legs, and the Power Sword sits secured to the left with its silver blade and brown-wrapped hilt, ready to swap in for posing.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 5

Figure Details

He-Man stands in a full front view wearing his silver chest armor with a translucent red iron cross emblem at its center, paired with dark brown boots that rise just below the knee. The head sculpt captures Nicholas Galitzine’s likeness with swept, golden-blonde hair and a focused expression, and I like how the proportions feel true to the classic He-Man silhouette while still reading as a movie design.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 6

From the back, He-Man’s chest armor has a silver V-shaped plate between the shoulder straps, with small rivet details sculpted into the brown leather harness that holds it in place. The loincloth wraps fully around with gold-toned diamond-shaped clasps along the bottom edge of each panel, and the segmented boot sculpt continues cleanly around the back of the calves.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 8

From the side, He-Man’s dark brown wrist guard shows sculpted strapping detail, and his tall boots have a layered, segmented look with subtle buckle accents near the top. His golden-blonde hair has a nice wavy texture to the sculpt, swept back with individual strands defined along the side.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 7

From this side profile, the sculpted strapping on He-Man’s harness wraps tightly around his torso, with the dark brown leather-look material sitting flush against the skin tone plastic. The gold-toned diamond clasps on the loincloth panels catch the eye from this angle, and the segmented boot tops show their buckle detailing running along the outer edge of each calf.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 9

Armed with the Power Sword held out in a two-handed grip, He-Man looks great in an action pose that shows off the figure’s 30 points of articulation. The silver blade has a smooth, clean finish with a slightly curved crossguard that gives the weapon a distinct Eternian feel.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 10

By the Power of Grayskull! He-Man holds the Power Sword aloft with one arm raised high, showcasing a classic heroic pose that really takes advantage of the shoulder and elbow articulation. The red iron cross emblem on his chest armor catches the light nicely from this angle, and the dark brown loincloth panels with their gold-toned clasps hang naturally with the figure’s stance.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 11

He-Man stands with the Power Sword raised at his side, and the silver chest armor’s riveted shoulder straps sit snugly over each shoulder with a weathered metallic finish. I’m really digging the brown-wrapped hilt on the Power Sword, which has a nice contrast against the silver blade and crossguard.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 12

From the back, He-Man holds the Power Sword up behind his shoulder as if sheathing it, and the blade lines up nicely against the harness strap running between his shoulder blades. The wavy texture of his golden-blonde hair sculpt shows good definition from this rear view, with individual locks layered over one another across the back of his head. Being this new 6.5″ scale, you will notice these figures have all new articulation, never before seen in a Masters of the Universe figure! There are butterfly joints in the chest and double jointed elbows and knees that all allow you to get He-Man into great poses! He can easily reach his sheath on his back!

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 13

He-Man raises the Power Sword overhead with a wide, grounded stance that really shows off the range of those 30 points of articulation. The weathered dark brown chest armor with its red cross emblem sits firmly against his torso, and the loincloth panels shift naturally with the pose. You can see how this new articulation allows you to get He-Man in some cool poses!

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 14

He-Man grips the Power Sword in a two-handed hold with his weight shifted low, and the alternate fisted hands swap works well here to lock the hilt firmly in both grips. It’s nice to see the dark brown wrist guard on the forearm contrasting against the silver crossguard of the sword at this close range.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 15

He-Man grips the Power Sword low across his body in a two-handed hold, with the smooth silver blade angled forward and catching the light along its edge. The gold-toned medallion details on his belt are easy to spot here, sitting right above where the loincloth panels split at the front.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 16

With those butterfly joints at his shoulders, you can now get He-Man into a double handed sword grasping pose!

He-Man-MOTU-Chronicles-IH-26

A close-up reveals the sculpt on He-Man’s face captures Nicholas Galitzine’s likeness with a stern, focused expression, sharp brow line, and slightly parted lips. The chest armor’s central shield features a translucent red iron cross set into a silver metallic frame, with small gold-toned rivets dotting the brown leather shoulder straps on either side.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 17

The sculpt on the back of He-Man’s hair shows well-defined layers of wavy locks cascading down to just above the neckline, with each strand grouping separated by deep grooves that give the golden-blonde plastic real depth. The silver V-shaped back plate on his harness has a smooth, slightly pearlescent finish, flanked by the riveted brown leather straps that sit cleanly against his upper back.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 22

A close-up of He-Man’s right wrist bracer shows a chunky, armor-plated design with a gold-toned oval medallion set into its center, flanked by sculpted brown leather panels with small rivet detailing along the edges. The metallic grey plating on the bracer has a weathered, aged look that matches the tone of his chest armor and belt hardware.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 18

The sculpt on He-Man’s left wrist bracer shows the same armored plating design as the right, with a gold-toned oval medallion at its center and sculpted rivet details along the brown leather panels. I like how the segmented grey plating wraps around the forearm, with the edges sitting cleanly against the skin tone plastic just above the wrist joint.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 19

A close-up of He-Man’s loincloth from the front shows the sculpted leather panels hanging in segmented strips, each with raised stitch lines running down the center and small gold-toned square clasps at the pointed tips. The belt buckle features a large round gold medallion set into a silver frame, with sculpted studs and gold accent dots running along the top edge of the belt on either side.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 20

The rear view of He-Man’s loincloth shows the sculpted leather panels wrapping cleanly around the back, with the same raised stitch lines and dark brown tone continuing from the front. Each strip ends in a gold-toned square clasp at the tip, and the thick belt above features sculpted gold studs and a diamond-shaped buckle detail at center back.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 23

The sculpt on He-Man’s boots shows impressive leather-like texture up close, with sculpted stitch lines running across the toe caps and multiple buckle straps wrapping around the shafts at different heights. The color shifts from a darker, almost black-brown on the lower foot portion to a warmer chocolate brown on the upper calf sections, with the folded boot tops adding a rugged, worn-in feel.

He Man MOTU Chronicles IH 21

The rear close-up of He-Man’s legs shows the knee articulation cuts sitting just above the boot tops, with the peach skin tone plastic forming a clean break before the dark brown leather-textured calf pieces begin. The sculpt on the back of the boots features layered strap detailing with small buckle accents and subtle stitch lines running along the seams, and the slightly glossier finish on the lower foot section adds a nice contrast against the matte upper portions.

By the Power of Grayskull! Huge thanks to @manuel_eduardo_caritas for posting these stunning hi-res images of the packaging art and design for the upcoming Masters of the Universe Chronicles King Grayskull figure from Mattel Creations. Boy are we thrilled with this one! The artwork here is absolutely stunning, and I love how the creative team leaned into the snakemen lore that pays homage to the legendary Ken Kelly and Manowar album art style. It fits King Grayskull so perfectly, this ancient warrior king who protected Eternia from the Snake Men and the Evil Horde long before He-Man ever raised the Sword of Power. The packaging design and art direction comes from @manuel_eduardo_caritas himself, with artwork by @simoneckert.art, toy design by @lavakaiju, packaging engineering by @lpukhrambam, and copywriting by @melissa.karlin. What an amazing team effort. King Grayskull has always been one of those deep cut characters that resonates so strongly with MOTU fans. His story is foundational to the entire mythology, and seeing him get the Chronicles treatment with this level of care and artistry is super exciting. The Chronicles line continues to raise the bar with every single release, and the presentation here is just gorgeous. Mark your calendars, because Masters of the Universe Chronicles King Grayskull launches April 8, 2026 at 9 AM PT exclusively on Mattel Creations. So let’s take a look at this amazing packaging art reveal!

The card art for King Grayskull features a striking illustration by Simon Eckert, with the ancient Eternian king front and center holding his Power Sword and battle axe aloft amid crackling energy. Surrounding him are several recognizable characters including Battle Lion, High Priest Pythonus and a Sssssqueeze to the left, and Lady Slither and King Hiss in the lower right, and Turbodactyl flying in from above, all rendered in a style that pays clear homage to classic Ken Kelly heavy metal album covers.

King Grayskull Package Art 1

Enjoy the 360 degree view of the packaging below.

The black box packaging features the full illustration wrapped around its front face, with King Grayskull standing triumphantly atop a rocky crag as lightning forks behind him. Behind this incredible artwork, hidden inside is the King Grayskull figure and his accessories tucked beneath that gorgeous Simon Eckert artwork.

King Grayskull Package Art 3

A close-up of the card art reveals Battle Lion’s red armored face plate in sharp detail, with bright yellow eyes and exposed fangs framed by a wild green mane. To the right, King Hiss grips a coiled serpent staff, his gold and teal armor catching the warm glow of the fiery orange sky behind him.

King Grayskull Package Art 11

The packaging art by @manuel_eduardo_caritas gives King Grayskull a Viking warrior treatment, with flowing blonde hair, fur-trimmed boots, and a tattered red cape draped behind his round shield. His shield features intricate Celtic knotwork around its silver rim with a bold red and gold medallion at the center, matching the ornamental cross pattern on his chest harness.

King Grayskull Package Art 13

The @manuel_eduardo_caritas artwork takes the Manowar tribute even further here, with King Grayskull standing atop a skull-laden rock formation as Snake Men coil and writhe below him. I like how the composition packs in so many characters, including Turbodactyl swooping in from the upper right and a multi-headed serpent twisting through the foreground.

King Grayskull Package Art 14

The box opens to reveal a matte black interior with a debossed line art illustration of King Grayskull on the right panel, showing him standing on a stone steps holding his shield and sword in a sketch-style finish. The left inner panel holds a smaller printed card reproducing the full Simon Eckert battle scene artwork, giving collectors a bonus art piece tucked inside the packaging.

King Grayskull Package Art 6

The full illustration shown here without the packaging frame reveals more of the warm fiery color palette, with deep oranges and reds washing over the entire scene. One thing I noticed right away is how the green serpent bodies in the foreground create a natural border around the base of the composition, their purple and olive scales weaving together to frame the action above.

King Grayskull Package Art 2

The artwork zooms in on King Grayskull’s upper body, highlighting the gold hexagonal chest medallion with its red Maltese cross pattern and the ornate circular shoulder pauldrons with gold rivets and white fur trim. His heavy gold belt features embossed wheel and geometric motifs, while the fur loincloth and fur-topped boots lean hard into that Manowar album cover aesthetic.

King Grayskull Package Art 10

The side panel of the box showcases the artwork from a different angle, with King Grayskull rendered in full Viking regalia holding his round shield with its red and gold medallion. A coiled green serpent wraps around the lower portion of the panel, its olive and purple scales continuing the visual motif that ties the entire wrap-around illustration together.

King Grayskull Package Art 4

The opposite side panel of the box wraps the Caritas illustration around with a view emphasizing the Snake Men in the foreground, their olive and purple coils filling the lower half while the fiery orange sky dominates above. It’s cool to see how the full wrap-around design reads as a continuous scene across every face of the packaging, treating the box itself almost like a gatefold album sleeve.

King Grayskull Package Art 5

The back of the box features more artwork of King Grayskull in his full Viking-inspired regalia, with Castle Grayskull’s iconic skull facade looming in the smoky distance behind him. Two inset photos on the right show the figure in different poses, one holding his shield and the other swinging his battle axe, giving a sense of the range of display options.

King Grayskull Package Art 7

The back of the box includes a brief character bio describing King Grayskull as He-Man’s ancestor who once ruled Eternia and protected it from the Snake Men and the Evil Horde. The two inset figure photos are framed in gold-bordered windows that match the ornamental style of the illustration surrounding them, keeping the medieval aesthetic consistent across every element of the packaging design.

King Grayskull Package Art 8

The artwork crops in on High Priest Pythonus as he raises a serpent-headed sword overhead, lightning crackling around the blade while his green scales and blue gauntlet catch the warm orange glow of the surrounding scene. His red and green Egyptian inspired hat and snarling fanged expression are rendered with real personality here.

King Grayskull Package Art 9

The artwork by Manuel Eduardo Caritas depicts a crumbling Snake Lair surrounded by gnarled, twisting trees and thick jungle overgrowth, all bathed in an eerie green-yellow glow with twin crescent moons hanging in the hazy sky. The Preternia setting feels pulled straight from a Manowar deep cut, with the ancient stone pathway leading up through serpent-like roots toward the temple ruins above.

King Grayskull Package Art 12

King Grayskull is the first figure in the new Chronicles line and will be available on Mattel Creations. In the lore, he is the ancestor of Prince Adam and a key defender of Eternia who resided in Castle Grayskull. The figure draws heavily from his debut in the 2002 Masters of the Universe animated series, which first introduced his backstory.

King Grayskull MOTU Chronicles Video 1

The figure’s look is inspired by the 2002 version, especially seen in the emblem on his harness and shield. Those elements are expanded with added detail across the armor, weapons, and accessories. The axe and shield feature ornate sculpting, while the harness, shoulder armor, and layered pieces add a more intricate, grounded appearance.

King Grayskull MOTU Chronicles Video 3

The line introduces a new scale that sits between larger figures like Masterverse and smaller Origins figures, allowing it to fit well with other 1:12 scale lines. Articulation has also been reworked, with updated joint construction at the elbows and knees to provide smoother movement and a wider range of motion.

King Grayskull MOTU Chronicles Video 4

A close-up reveals the sculpted detail on the skirt piece, which features a crossed swords emblem surrounded by ornate, vine-like engravings pressed into the dark red plastic. The gold trim along the top and bottom edges has a nice scrollwork pattern, with small raised studs running along the upper band.

King Grayskull MOTU Chronicles Video 6

Sporting his axe and shield together, King Grayskull MOTU Chronicles Video shows off the tattered, uneven hem of the red cape, which has a nice worn, battle-damaged look to the fabric edges. The shoulder armor’s white fur trim peeks out from beneath the gold and silver pauldrons, framing the hexagonal chest emblem nicely.

King Grayskull MOTU Chronicles Video 7

The packaging is inspired by artist Ken Kelly, bringing a heavy metal aesthetic to the Masters of the Universe brand. The artwork is set in Preternia and includes details like Turbodactyl and other subtle nods to the lore. The back features the 200X-style Castle Grayskull. The package is designed for collectors, allowing the figure to be removed and reinserted easily, and includes a backdrop insert for display and storytelling.

April 1, 2026 Update: Official Images

The box art for King Grayskull features a dramatic painted illustration with a fiery red and orange palette, depicting the King Grayskull atop Castle Grayskull wielding a sword and battle axe with his steed Battle Lion by his side, with Sssqueeze, High Priest Pythonus, Lady Slither, King Hiss, and Chimera surrounding him.

King Grayskull MOTU Chronicles Mattel Creations Exclusive 1

The back of the packaging showcases King Grayskull holding his sword aloft with Castle Grayskull looming behind him, alongside two inset photos showing the figure in different poses with his shield and axe accessories. I like how they worked the swirling cosmic sky and molten lava environment into the artwork, giving the whole panel a rich, painterly quality that complements the front illustration.

King Grayskull MOTU Chronicles Mattel Creations Exclusive 2

King Grayskull comes with a solid accessory spread, including a silver sword with Celtic-style filigree on the blade, a double-headed battle axe with a jeweled pommel, a round shield matching the red and gold cross crest on his armor, and a pair of closed fist hands. The brown boots have a wrapped leather texture with white fur cuffs peeking out at the top, and his silver wrist cuffs carry the same knotwork patterning found on the axe.

King Grayskull MOTU Chronicles Mattel Creations Exclusive 7

King Grayskull’s chest armor features a hexagonal crest with a red and gold cross motif at the center, flanked by metallic silver shoulder guards with gold medallion accents and white fur trim that has a nice textured sculpt. His gold belt is decorated with round embossed studs, and the fur loincloth below it has individually sculpted strands that give it a coarse, heavy look.

King Grayskull MOTU Chronicles Mattel Creations Exclusive 6

From the back, King Grayskull’s soft goods cape drapes nicely with a deep crimson fabric that has a tattered, battle-worn edge along the bottom, trimmed with a thin white lining. The sword stores neatly across his back via the harness, and the double-headed axe he’s carrying has intricate knotwork etching sculpted into each blade.

King Grayskull MOTU Chronicles Mattel Creations Exclusive 4

King Grayskull stands at roughly 6 inches tall, with a ghosted silhouette of Despara shown alongside for scale reference. I like the way his blonde hair is sculpted with a topknot and long flowing locks that rest over the cape’s shoulder attachments, framing that serious, determined head sculpt.

King Grayskull MOTU Chronicles Mattel Creations Exclusive 8

Armed with his sword and shield, King Grayskull’s soft goods cape catches real movement here, with the tattered crimson fabric flaring out behind him. The interior of the shield shows a molded grip and handle system that his fist wraps around cleanly.

King Grayskull MOTU Chronicles Mattel Creations Exclusive 9

Armed with the double-headed axe and shield, King Grayskull’s knotwork-etched blades have a matte gunmetal finish that contrasts well against the metallic sheen of the shield’s gold vine detailing. That head sculpt is really solid, with a stern, focused expression and sharply defined cheekbones under the flowing blonde hair.

King Grayskull MOTU Chronicles Mattel Creations Exclusive 10

King Grayskull Tease

Mattel is promising that the Chronicles collection will feature their most detailed and most posable figures in the line, which is a bold claim but one that feels earned given the early tease imagery we’ve seen so far.

According to Roy Juarez:

Just as Eternos fell, so too fell the Commander of the King’s Royal Guard. With the return of He-Man, however, Duncan fights to save Eternia from Skeletor. Alongside the Masters of the Universe, the king’s Man-At-Arms will find the redemption he seeks.

The box uses a black window-style design with the Masters of the Universe Chronicles branding across the top, a large clear plastic window that fully exposes the figure, and character artwork printed along the right side panel. Inside, the figure is secured in a molded plastic tray, standing centered with accessories neatly slotted around it, including the staff, blaster, and alternate hands placed in their own recessed compartments. I like how the tray keeps everything visible and evenly spaced, with the figure framed cleanly from head to toe without anything overlapping or obscuring the view.

Masters-of-the-Universe-Chronicles-Man-at-Arms-Package-front-left

His bio reads: “Just as Eternos fell, so too fell the Commander of the King’s Royal Guard. With the return of He Man, however, Duncan fights to save Eternia from Skeletor. Alongside the Masters of the Universe, the king’s Man At Arms will find the redemption he seeks.” The back of the box features a large full-figure render placed front and center against a cosmic backdrop, as he’s shown standing on a rocky surface while holding his mace aloft, and I like how this gives the layout a strong focal point. To the right, smaller inset images show different posed views of the figure, while the bottom section includes a cross sell lineup highlighting He Man, Man At Arms, and Tri Klops, all framed cleanly within the overall design.

Masters-of-the-Universe-Chronicles-Man-at-Arms-Package-rear

The side of the box continues the black windowed design with a tall vertical clear panel that lets you see the figure and inner tray from the side, and I like how it reinforces how much of the figure is visible without opening the package. A character portrait sits in a framed panel with the Man At Arms name and subtitle printed beneath it.

Masters-of-the-Universe-Chronicles-Man-at-Arms-Package-front-right

The illustrated panels wrap around the box with a dramatic, realistic rendering style that carries across the side and front edges, and I like how the artwork lines up cleanly when the panels meet. One side features a close-up portrait of Man At Arms in his helmet and armor, while the adjacent panel shows Skeletor in profile, creating a face-to-face visual contrast that runs vertically along the packaging. The cosmic backdrop with planets and stars ties the illustrations together, giving the box a continuous scene that feels intentional rather than segmented.

Man-At-Arms-MOTU-Chronicles-Masters-of-the-Universe-Movie-Box-Side-2

The new Masters of the Universe Chronicles logo is front and center, combining the classic red and blue Masters wordmark with a darker, more grounded presentation that sits over a sword backdrop. I like how the added Chronicles banner clearly signals a fresh chapter, and it feels intentional as it rolls out across the packaging for the new movie figures. This logo sets the tone for the entire line, tying the box design together visually while separating these releases from the existing Origins and Masterverse looks.

Check out the 360 degree view of the entire package below.

Official Image Reveal

I love when a mainstream outlet shines a big spotlight on toys, and today is one of those days where Masters of the Universe fans get to enjoy that crossover moment, because Entertainment Weekly has dropped an exclusive first look at action figures inspired by the upcoming live action Masters of the Universe film, and yes, I absolutely did a double take when I saw these. The figures are based on the on-screen likenesses of Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, and Jared Leto as Skeletor and others, giving us our clearest sense yet of how Eternia is shaping up in plastic form. As someone who obsesses over how movie designs translate into action figures, this is the kind of reveal that gets my brain racing, because these aren’t just vague interpretations or placeholder sculpts, they are clearly aiming to reflect the actors, costumes, and overall tone of the film in a way that feels intentional and deliberate. Seeing He-Man represented with Galitzine’s likeness immediately anchors this as a very specific take on the character, while Teela and Evil-Lyn follow suit with designs that feel modern yet rooted in familiar territory for longtime fans. Even Skeletor, who always carries the most visual baggage, looks poised to walk that line between classic menace and cinematic reinvention.

MOTU-Chronicles-Masters-of-the-Universe-Movie-Figures

Man At Arms is braced in a wide stance with the gold mace lifted overhead, the arm bent as if he’s about to bring it down with force. The figure features green bodysuit sections broken up by bronze and gold armor plates across the chest, shoulders, forearms, and shins, with layered tech detailing and panel lines giving the armor a heavy, functional look. I’m really digging the blue helmet with integrated ear pieces and the mustached head sculpt, especially paired with the utility belt and holster that make him look ready for whatever’s coming next.

Man-At-Arms MOTU Chronicles Masters of the Universe Movie Figure 3

Price Points and Release Date

Alongside all the buzz-worthy reveals and actors showing some of the figures, the Entertainment Weekly article also confirmed the price points for the new Masters of the Universe Chronicles figures, giving collectors a clear sense of what to expect when these hits hit shelves. Most of the figures, including core characters like He-Man, Teela, Evil-Lyn, Man-At-Arms, Tri-Klops, Trap Jaw, and more, are slated to retail at $24.99 each, a solid price for highly articulated, movie-accurate figures designed with coll

Spielwarenmesse 2026 Reveal

Spielwarenmesse 2026 is already shaping up to be one of those shows we are going to be talking about all year, and right out of the gate things are getting exciting as early images of the Man-At-Arms and Evil-Lyn Masters of the Universe movie figures have started making the rounds on social media, giving fans their first real look at what is being shown publicly on the show floor, and honestly, I did not expect to be this energized this early in the event. Officially dubbed, MOTU Chronicles, this lines up with early news we’ve reported about the line. Interestingly, these new figures are said to be a closest to a 6” figure scale more akin to Marvel Legends or GI Joe Classifed figures and will not be the scale of 7” Masterverse figures. What really pushed this over the top for me is that the one and only Ramen Toy also reached out and shared crisp, high-resolution images of two of the figures currently on display, which is huge because it allows collectors to really study the details without relying on blurry show-floor photos or quick phone snaps. Seeing these images land now feels perfectly timed, coming hot off the heels of the Masters of the Universe teaser and trailer drop, which has clearly reignited interest in the movie designs and has everyone reexamining how these characters are being interpreted in figure form. There is something especially fun about watching this all unfold in real time, with social media buzzing, early looks popping up unexpectedly, and trusted names helping fill in the gaps with clearer visuals. Spielwarenmesse has a way of setting the tone for the year ahead, and if these early Man-At-Arms and Evil-Lyn reveals are any indication, we are in for a very interesting stretch of Masters of the Universe news, and I absolutely cannot wait to see what else gets revealed as the show continues to unfold and can’t wait to see the figures live at New York Toy Fair 2026! Ram Man was also on display as more images are revealed from the Mattel booth giving our first look at the figure! You can see him here in the upper right corner of a photo posted in a Reuters article.

Man-At-Arms and Evil-Lyn are shown together as our first look at the movie figures on display at Spielwarenmesse 2026, with Man-At-Arms wearing layered green and tan armor, a silver helmet, and gripping his blaster and mace as he steps forward in a ready stance. Evil-Lyn stands opposite with black textured armor, a sculpted headpiece, and a long staff held upright, her cape flowing behind her as she squares up for a confrontation. I like seeing the boxed Man-At-Arms figure positioned behind them, giving a clear view of how the on-display figures translate directly from the packaging to the shelf.

MOTU Chronicles Packaging

Up close, the packaging shows off the new MOTU Chronicles design with a wider front window that puts the figure and accessories clearly on display, framed by darker tones and a more cinematic color palette that feels tied to the movie look. I am drawn to the side panel artwork running vertically alongside the bubble, giving a character portrait that adds depth without overpowering the figure inside. The overall box layout feels cleaner and more modern, with a stronger focus on presentation while still letting you see exactly how the figure is packed and posed. The packaging team headed up by Roy Juarez has crushed it again and I am sure they will be in the running for more packaging design awards!

The back of the box features a large action pose of the figure with Man-At-Arms raising the mace overhead, framed by a dramatic Eternian landscape that leans into the movie tone. I like how the smaller inset images on the right show different poses with the blaster and mace, giving a quick look at articulation and display options without overcomplicating the layout. The character text up top adds story context, tying Duncan directly into the larger conflict as the visuals keep the focus on how the figure moves and looks in hand. The text reads “Just as Eternos fell, so too fell the Commander of the King’s Royal Guard. With the return of He-Man, however, Duncan fights to save Eternia from Skeletor. Alongside the Masters of the Universe, the king’s Man-At-Arms will find the redemption he seeks.”

The side box art gives us a sharp look at the movie version of Skeletor, shown in profile with a pale skull face, glowing red eyes, and a deep purple hood pulled tight around his head. I like how the artwork keeps him partially obscured, with the hood and shadows doing a lot of the work while still clearly defining the skull features and sinister expression. The darker purple tones against the fiery backdrop tie him visually to the larger movie aesthetic and tease his presence without fully revealing the character head-on.

The side of the box highlights the MOTU Chronicles branding with a tall character portrait panel showing Man-At-Arms in his movie armor, paired with clean nameplate text that reads Man-At-Arms, Heroic Master of Weapons. I like how the vertical window cutout continues around the corner, letting you peek at the figure from the side while keeping the layout tight and focused. The darker color treatment and sharp edges reinforce that this Chronicles line is leaning into a more cinematic, premium presentation compared to past MOTU packaging.

The cross sell panel lines up He-Man, Man-At-Arms, and Tri-Klops, each shown in their movie designs with weapons in hand to give a clear look at how the core characters scale and pose together. I like how Man-At-Arms is pictured mid-stride with his mace while He-Man and Tri-Klops flank him, making the lineup feel active rather than static. Seeing these three grouped together gives me a solid sense of the early roster being built out for the MOTU Chronicles movie line.

Man-At-Arms

Man-At-Arms is shown in a movie-inspired look clearly modeled after actor Idris Elba, wearing green body armor with layered tan plating, a blue helmet, and a detailed belt loaded with tech elements. I like how he’s posed mid-action with the mace resting over his shoulder while the blaster stays ready at his side, which really shows off the armor sculpt and paint hits across the chest, arms, and legs. The head sculpt sells the likeness well, with a focused expression that matches the on-screen version we’re expecting to see in the film.

Another angle shows the figure squared up on the clear stand, with the armor layering reading a bit differently from the front as the tan plates catch the light against the darker green undersuit. I am really noticing the belt detailing here, with the segmented silver pieces wrapping cleanly around the waist and a small tool hanging off the thigh. The helmet profile and face sculpt come through strong from this view, and the paint hits across the boots and shin armor feel more defined int his angle.
